Upvote if you think Bungie doesn't actually read their feedback forum!

Ive been watching these forums over the last 2 weeks and while Forsaken is in its infancy there have been some glaringly obvious issues that bungie seem to be ignoring or just responding to with the same copy pasted bulls**t "We will continue to monitor feedback" comment. I think when we've payed this much money for a game and all its DLCs and upgrades the least the Devs could do is listen to their community, especially when they've had this much feedback about their games economy and other issues, its just lazy. Im just wondering how much they actually pay attention to these feedback forums if at all? That's my 2 cents anyway.

  • Can't agree, sorry. They moved Petra to the landing zone in response to players concerns about wasting Sparrow fuel and polluting the Dreaming City with all those exhaust emissions. And they're nerfing Sleeper for all the Gambit players who apparently can't use the thumbsticks on their controllers. Or whatever sorcery the PC Master Race uses. They're on the case. They're listening and watching.

I personally think bungie is delaying the removal of masterwork cores from infusion to slow down game progress, which imo is overkill. I’m guessing/hoping bungie will finally fix it in another month or so.

      • I think they skim it. Every 3rd week or so. More on Twitter and Reddit though. There should be a reply in each forum section 2 or 3 times every active workday. They have what, 2x or 3x current community managers? Surely when they're flying to PAX, Guardiancon, PAX West ect....they'd have time to just chat with the community on THEIR OWN APP. Whether it works well or not. Even just 1x reply on the main D2 forum at the beginning of each day. Instead we see a sporadic bloom of their responses every few weeks. We heard that, we'll start tracking that Stay tuned We'll speak more in the future 'Insert cryptic tweet here' There WILL BE another way to get seeds Hey there's an issue we fixed, that we didnt tell you about before at all in OUR OWN APP, but it's on a subreddit somewhere. 96% of our 8 vendors have 98% of their bounties for crucible. Yay! All our bounties have vague % guidelines, rather than concrete numbers. To let player discover exactly how to do a quest I know there's what, 3x major studios as well as Activision doing amazing work on the game with tons of separate teams. Couldn't at least one community manager go visit each team like once a month. Ask, "Hey! What are you working on? What can you tell me that I can share with the community?", then move on to the next. Then have HR or their overwatch folk go through their notes and say what they could or couldn't share. Then, you know, share.... - Sorry. Thanks, I dont think they read and reply as much as they could. Or they're being restrained by an overwatch department. See you starside!

      • Bungie has many things that need patched or reworked as normal with any large content drop. They are collecting feedback and have rolled out 4 patches in just 2 weeks. Fixing exotic drop rates or removing Masterworks aren't as important as you think they are. Perhaps you should stop playing

      • They do. I’ve actually seen alot of my very specific suggestions go into the game. BUT, they take their sweet time implementing certain things until after they’ve had their way. For example, something like masterwork cores. It’s so obvious that it’s really just their way of forcing you to 1) try the new weapons and gear, 2) grind the higher level activities’ bosses. Then Once they feel like the content has sat long enough, they will swoop in and say, “we’ve heard you that the infusion economy is a little too demanding, we are going to change the masterwork core requirements for infusion by ________.”

      • I disagree. If they weren't listening, forsaken would've bombed. Not to mention the amount of fixes that were pushed out over the course of past two weeks.

      • The "community summit' should have given everyone a clue about that. It's been this way since D1 released and since it's 4 years later? I don't think much will change. Sure, the small petty things they listened to but when streamers, content creators, YouTubers or whatever have a priority over the entire player base like the "worlds first" that was a joke. Yeah...

They just changed the Ace of Spades and talked about Sleeper and fixing bugs. Game development isn't just changing a number or pressing a button and things are fixed. I think they look at all feedback, and see what syncs with their vision of the game, unless we bring up points on fairness, or overwhelming feedback from community. I do think they cater a bit much to streamers in my opinion (summit, and Raid being released so early for them), but it's obvious they are at least aware. Side note, changing a game economy is not easy, and while I hate Masterwork Cores in infusion, it seems more people hate it than not. Let's hope they at least mention they are aware of that, even if there is no change.

          • Sorry, but if you actually want them to consider your feedback you have to be a streamer or content creator and go to their summit. People who get paid to play the game literally all day are an accurate representation of the majority of their playerbase, after all. /sarcasm

                • Bungie read SOME of it. But for the most part of anything is done, there's always elitist assholes who crawl out of their caves to bitch about something they don't like as if nobody else is allowed to have an opinion... Granted there are times that but guess respond by making something too easy or difficult in response to some complaints, for instance the hand canon invader kills. Anyone who earned ace of spades thinks they have the right to bitch about people who complained about the difficulty while completely disregarding that the bulk of the difficulty and frustration came from the overuse of sleeper simulant. Rather than direct frustrations about the simplicity of the quest to bungie or simply get the -blam!- over it, they'd rather point the finger at everyone else. For the record, I earned my ace of spades for myself and helped my dad out too. So what? I had a hard time dealing with sleeper and other meta weapons and got through on my own sure. But ya know what? This change doesn't affect me. I was pissed at first about it being easier for people and knowing I've been through so much pain to get it but that's the thing. I've been through some hard times to get this thing. That made it so much more satisfying when I got it. It makes it that much more satisfying to say that I EARNED mine. Sure everyone else can get one, but who cares? We get to say we did it, we beat that challenge and we got better with hand canons along the way. You know who may come out of the quest with less skill than us? Anyone who gets the easy AI kills. I understand why some are angry, I won't discount how much effort most of us have expended, and I understand that most feel like exotics should be earned, but there's legendary weapons that are better and are harder to get. In the end, an exotic quest is just something to do to get that guaranteed drop. At least you're not fighting RNG just to get another year 1 exotic right?

                • If i were the employee that has to dig through this forum full of hate posts and whining, I would just quit. Most of these posts are less cohesive feedback, more children whining about something being to hard. Bungie does reply to posts, but they only reply to that particular topic once.

                • I think they're too busy making that Chinese game and also I fear they're gradually handing off destiny IP to Activision and highmoon & the other one-who'll take over the ip for d3. Bungie swings way too hard to extremes and has issues finding a balance. For myself, without duplicate protection-the road to 555 Raid Ready from 520 is something I may pass on and quit the game. I'll feel like I got robbed of $10 for not being able to play the raid but I'll know to not pay launch price for Destiny. The player count is very low and destiny is only listening to the Streamer Darlings. Hey, one can't win em all but Destiny had a hell of a run and I am truly happy for the no lifers who can play thirty hours a week but I'm gonna pass on the dogshit mw core economy, leveling duplicates, tiny loot puddle and overly complex TIME GATED progression. No, they don't give a shit unless your a "true" believer or a content creator

                    • I think they read and take the criticism as they see fit. Sometimes they will fix something that it is actually broken, most of the times they fix something because they think it is the best approach. Like the famous nerf of truth in D1... among many other things. In D2 a clear example is why they havent bother yet fixing queues with solo players in PvP, I am still paired up against 6 men ft have been since y1 d1 and will be until the end of destiny.

                    • they've fixed mutiple issues since release ... the economy issue isnt an issue , people should learn to use their cores wisely , if it was an issue it would've been acknowledged.

                        • Why would they read anything on the forums? it's about 95% ridiculous video game rage post and garbage feedback, from uninformed or inexperienced guardians, who want the last gun that killed them in gambit to be nerfed. Add to that the endless toxic vitriol from players, "disagreeing with other players" (whatever happened to civility online... wait I just realized how stupid that sounds) I wouldn't even look, the reddit community is less toxic, the twitter community is easier to reach. If I were bungie I'd look at about the 5% of feedback posts that are actual feedback, and say "-blam!- it" to the rest. You people are unbelievable. and yet... I find myself madly in love with you...
