I hope bungie still plans on doing something with them to make grinding more personal. If they bring back random rolls, I would like a way to customize my weapons a little if I have the mods to do it, because I really don't like the idea of grinding for hours for a single weapon that could have a bad roll...not that it really matters now that the base weapons perform so much better, but still. Summary of what I want: Perk mods that I can apply to my weapons to change their perks to how I see fit. They can be a single use consumable with low drops from random activities, or permanent multi-use ones that only drop from specific quests or activities. Another thing I would like is the ability to change between kinetic, energy, and power via weapon mods. Being able to put any weapon in any slot with the use of a mod would cut back on clutter for the weapon inventory (although choosing from a big box of gear that I can just store and put into whatever slot I would like would be nice too) A way to trade mods to other players. Something that Destiny sorely lacks out on is the ability to trade and share things with your allies. Having a simple trading system to give your buds or random some extra mods they are missing could go a long way for players having a hard time finding the time or materials to grind. And no buying mods with eververse. Just keep it grindable so people don't bitch.
