I'd like the community to post their ideas for weapon types They'd WANT Added into Destiny 2 and beyond going forward. I'll name a few of my own ideas first with a minor explanation to get things going... Plasma SAW High Firerate flinch Assualt Rifle that fires RAW plasma bolts Reloading fires off a shockwave that knocks back opponents. Charge Rifle A High Precision variant of the fusion rifle meant spicifially for long range extremely effective against shielded targets but far less effective against non shielded ones. Spewer Rifle Sprays an elemental liquid on to targets that causes DOT damage that increases the more the target is sprayed. Pulsar Railgun A High Velocity elemental canister that is fired using electromagnets Single Target damage is MASSIVE this is offset from a tiny magazine and slow reload time Telemtry Launcher Fires a metalic spike shooting multiple targets will tether them with a corresponding element causing dot dmg Vertex Fusion Rifle This weapon fires a high dmg slow moving horizontal energy beam that BLINDS Major or higher targets for 3 seconds EMP Designator a Laser Pistol that has the ability to suppress shields or vehicles while the laser pointer remains on target causes NO DAMAGE ! (this is a support weapon) aiming at a targets face causes them to flinch for 2 seconds. Quasar Rifle A unique Photon assault rifle that fires in full-auto when fired in ADS with HIGH Piercing and Critical dmg but VERY Low Body dmg this is reversed when hip-firing. (think the Gemini from Destiny 1 except as an assault photon Rifle) This weapon type doesn't use ammo but instead uses a heat-sink Overheating the weapon from continuous fire will cause light dmg to shields. Until fully vented (HOLDING THE RELOAD button) the weapon CANNOT be fired! Highly effective against Organic type enemies less effective against mechanical ones like Vex Now that you've heard my ideas let Bungie and the rest of the community hear yours!!!
