6v6 Iron Banner Has Revitalized the Crucible Experience
In the last 2 nights, I have seen the most clan activity since the CoO release, I have met many people within my clan I haven’t met previously, I have experienced more heroic moments and have gone on much longer kill streaks than in 4v4 scenario. It’s amazing to see D2 supers, while playing a match that feels like D1! Keep the 6v6! 4v4 has its place in more intimate, competitive gameplay scenarios. We need both. I think if bungie gave us more variety, more playlist with different team sizes (including rumble) this could fix the crucible permanently.

1 Reply6v6 should have been available standard right out of the box. Frankly, they should have expanded the destiny pvp experience by fleshing out d1s combined arms match type by making it a special event mode with a 8v8-12v12 player count on big maps with vehicles. I cannot fathom the depth of stupidity required to think that stripping down the crucible the way they did would be a fun idea. 4v4/small matches have their place but most everyone will get board without sufficient variety. Halo pioneered massive pvp variety, the many choices were much of what made Halo successful because why change to another game when you get burned out when there is so much more to do in the game youre already playing. The fact that BNG forgot how to make a good pvp experience leaves me with little hope for this studios future.
