All You Need is LAG
You know a game is bad when all you need do in order to win is lag.
When a game favours the bad connections over the good, it’s obvious that the devs have their priorities right!
Me: I pay out for fibre internet..
Bungie: Well that’s unfair to those still on dial-up, we’ll give them the benefit.
Good old BungIe! Logic at its best.
Just an idea, but you could, maybe, make your system stop giving host to the worst connection player in the match.
UPDATE: Ok so it’s obviously something very wrong with the Crucible. Or the matchmaking is backwards.
Eg. Just had a solo Iron Banner match, we mercied them most of us didn’t die once and our KD’s were 1.8, 2.25, 5.33, 7.0, 9.0 and 11.0!
How is that fun or a fair fight BungIe???

A critical mass of dumb fans means you don't have to implement dedicated servers. Hell, if you're bungie all you have e to do is kick back and let the droolers do your logic bashing for you on your forums.

2 RepliesThere should be an auto kick for lag issues. I also have high speed Internet. Why should we have to suffer with someone who lives in Oosbunkastan using a monkey padding a bike that turns the wheels that power his electricity that his internet connection runs on! That monkey is old sick and tired and is looking to retire!

1 ReplyI played a guy that wouldn't take any damage, glitched all over the screen so I reported him and told him I reported him. He messaged me a laughing emoji, thumbs up and said 'Bungie doesn't care'. Sad thing is, he's correct, when people like Clay_Is_Clutch, whom are known in the community, are still doing the same stuff in D2, that's the only conclusion. If you don't know who I'm referring to, search YouTube for him before this post is 'edited'.

1 ReplyThe fact that BUNGO hid the red bar notification from us only PROVES they know P2P is trash and lag is a major problem in the game. Once again Bungo implements a change that favors cheaters/laggers. At least in D1 you could see the red bar and know where the issue was. Now, they hide it so you just have to deal. I still laugh my ass off when I think about Bungo thinking the Crucible could be an ESPORT... LOL!!!! People don't want to watch people cheat on TV..... Look at your twitch numbers Bungie. They suck ass, just like your P2P. Well played Bungo!!

1 ReplyJust report them using the in game report tools and move on. Unless players report laggers to Bungie no action can be taken AND yes Bungie does restrict players if they lag in a number of games and over a number of days. Just make sure you are not the one lagging or you will be kicked out of the Crucible for a week or two.

In my old house, i had amazing internet, and barely ever experienced lag in Crucible or PvE. In my current house, i have crappy internet and i havent seen more lag than i am seeing now. Its horrendous. If you are experiencing lagging players, it most likely is your fault. Dont say you have good internet, because your internet could be fast but not be running correctly. Its you, trust me. P.S. Yes, dedicated servers would help, but, laggers would still exist here and there. However, that doesnt change that your internet is the fault if all you see is lag almost every game. When i had good internet, i barely experienced lag or saw anybody lagging. Very rarely, honestly. Lag doesnt help you win either, it sucks the fun out of the game and makes you lose in gunfights where it doesnt seem to make any sense.

7 RepliesMy favorite part of D2 is when you shoot a guy, and he kills you, and a second after he kills you, he suddenly takes all the damage you did to him and dies.

I may be totally wrong but thats the way it seems when I play pvp.

Their cheap p2p bs seems completely broken anyway, the IB loading animation with the floating ships takes longer than most matches.

All that should have been left of the enemy was a pair of smoking combat boots!

Until bungie requires a specific and constant ping rate or allows you to choose better connection speeds over time to find a match, nothing will change because casuals make up a huge portion of the $$ for bungie and most of those have paltry connections for a plethora of reasons.

5 RepliesDidn't they have a cool sounding phrase for the type of connection D2 would have before launch? I remember laughing thinking about how bad D1 got at times with being shot around corners or players with shit connections not taking damage but I would never have believed it would have got worse. With the slower time to kill it's much worse in D2. The trade kills seems to have doubled. Then there's the player who takes no damage as you're shooting him in the back only to have him turn around and kill you then die to the bullets you put into him before he turned around. I don't think they'll ever get it right. 😐
