Hunters

Ill be brief Pve were good Pvp we suck General Faster sprint speed than other classes Longer marksman dodge Subclasses Arcstrider is fine, but nightstalker and gunslinger are not Gunslinger Increased throwing knife damage and speed Increased tripmine damage Increased golden gun duration (both same duration as sharpshooter golden gun had prieviously, outlaw shots use more energy per shot) Increased sharpshooter golden damage (1 shot on supers and barricades) Some kind of quickdraw perk added Nightstalker Increased tether damage (1 hit kill) Increased tether deployment speed Less visible cloaking Cloaking smoke bombs activating immediately Done, feel free to call me a whiny bitch in the comments for suggesting hunters are a little under powered

        Well, since I started with D1s Pre-Dem...Alpha, I never got the impression that Hunters are supposed to be the fastest class. It is never mentioned anywhere in both games. Mobility doesn’t necessarily mean raw speed either. In D2 Hunters have two sprint speed perks which, well, increase the max sprint speed. For two sub-classes actually (Nightstalker, Arcstrider). Sure it is not that much, but unique among the classes. On consoles, a skating Titan is not faster than a Hunter constantly using strafe jump. I try that out everytime when I play Strikes and a Titan start using the skate „mechanic“. Hunters always were the most agile to me. And I discovered that by myself back then purely by playing all the classes. The momentum of the jumps are much faster (in both ways) and the tripple and strafe jump give Hunters a huge advantage in combat, especially in PvP. Most maps in D2 have so much corners and cover, you can easily trick your opponents with a fast directional change on the second jump. Or funny and tricky stuff like jumping into a pit just to activate the double jump and surprise your opponent. Good PvP players proof that all the time how much worth a perfect timed and skilled jump is than having your Titan or Warlock rocket gliding into the next wall... Hunters still dominate for a reason. I do agree with some points of yours. The one about the GG damage on Titan walls, for example.

      • Lol no way. Hunters over populate crucible as is with twice as many hunters in crucible as warlocks and titans. If anything warlocks and titans need more skating speed. Skating was an art in D1 that few mastered. If you suck as a hunter play a different class. Number 1 used subclass for months was nightstalker. Now after the update it’s probably arcstrider. Why would everyone use those clases if they sucked?

      • I can only agree with two of your things. 1. faster tether initiation. It takes slightly too long to engage once shot. 2. Golden gun getting maybe an additional 4 seconds. Everything else I don't agree

      • Think these changes to Nightstalker are better. On the top path: Snare Bomb changed to envenomed. Because it's pointless having something that only works in quick play. Invis taken out and Shadestep put in its place with a 4-5 second cool down. It does not trigger class ability or Jesters unless class ability is fully charged. Reason for this is if you want invis you should have to sacrifice something. Sprint and sneak faster in Keen Scout taken out because sprint is next to useless and sneak is again only useful in quick play. Improved double jump with a additional jump like what was on Bones put in there place. Tether left how it is. Bottom path: Only alter the super. Make it a OHK on normal Guardians but the tether only activates on direct none lethal hits. Meaning it's not a OHK against other Guardians that are in their super but it will knock them out of it. The reason for these changes is the bottom path has been largely unused in PVP because the top path was stronger. But with the removal of radar in competitive it makes Nightstalkers a 1 trick pony. By taking away the invis from the top path and altering its neutral game to compensate the loss of its crutch both paths will have 2 distinct play styles that are useful in both PVE and all PVP activities. If a player wants invis it would force a sacrifice which for a crutch like invis is needed.

        • My biggest beef with hunters is the grenades... they are weak af and need to be buffed. The scatter grenade is a joke and should be changed to a Thermite like the Titan has. All the arc ones are also garbage.

          • I would say for hunters make it possible to hit 10 mobility. Warlocks 10 restoration, and titans 10 resilience.

            • We're not really more powerful or less powerful at all really. Orpheus Rigstalker and Celestial Nighthawk hunters are still largely sought after in the realm of PvE. Sometimes I have to run my 2nd or 3rd toon just so we don't have 5 fxcking hunters in Leviathan, because a rift is nice every now and again. And we've always been a fairly decent class for PvP. Everyone has always liked the hunter jumps the best, and with roaming supers and things like Wombo, we've have tricks up our sleeves like anyone else. It's just that now they finally fixed the Warlock Granny Glide so that the damn jump isn't so abysmally slow, and all the classes have viable roaming supers and DPS classes to accommodate as well. So kindly, stop whining and do what hunters always do. Smirk and say fxck it. Or feed the stereotype that hunters are whiners.

            • Recently switched to my hunter alt from my titan main, I gotta say one thing. Are you kidding me? Aside from double nades (which most titan grenades are avoidable) pole dancing is so much easier than striking.

            • Hunters main argument to why not to nerf them is because they’re meant for pvp your just proving that hunters are op overall. And I read the whole thing, it sounds like you just want hunters to one shot everything with every ability as fast as possible.

              • You claim they are not good in PvP, but making my hunter and taking it into the crucible is what initially pulled my KAD out of the dirt... And that was running with hard light and a rare (blue) pulse rifle- pre buff as this was a month or so after launch. They really are fine. Other than a few things here and there, nothing needs to be specifically buffed. I'm not personally a fan of the Gunslinger's perk selections, but I also can't say that they are underpowered. The point I'd make personally is that all classes now need another level of perks to augment and complement current selections.
