Let Us F_ck Over People Who Leave Crucible
I'm tired of winning 4v2 or 4v1 matches. It's awful, particularly when the people that stay are actually good players.
Let us f_ck over people that leave matches because they hate to lose. At least screw their ratings all to hell so decent players aren't saddled with assholes.
This will be downvoted by sh_tty players that leave Crucible matches because they're losing :)

While I may be wrong, I doubt that most people stay in matches where they spawn in to a 3v4 or even 2v4; this is a problem. Also, sweaty try hard teams should play trials if they are all that. Solo ques should not be put up against fireteams; while it is possible to win, it is likely to be very one-sided. Players should be grouped by skill level. I have been slaughtered and done the slaughtering in extremely mismatched games. As a matter of fact, I just spawned into a 7 to 35 match, with a bunch of douche bags sniping spawn points. Shaxx called it 20 seconds after I arrived and died twice. QUESTION: Should I stay in that game if it goes on? They had at least 2 jackholes with snipers, sitting back from spawn points, and another running between with a shotgun. I'm sure you would have stayed, but had it gone on, I would have left. Lastly, I occasionally run with my clan, but that is very rare as almost none play anymore, I have no interest in Trials, and don't play competitive as I hate countdown. The QuickPlay is where I play, and have no interest in try-hard tools who get their ego stroked by wrecking blueberries and randos. So, yes, people should not quit to save their KD, but absolutely have the right to quit due to the ignorance outlined above.

I was put into a match 4 vs 2. It stayed that way for 5 minutes, we were down 30 to 5 and no mercy rule. Every engagement was 2 vs 1. You could not buy a kill. Asking a player to hang arround for this crap is ridiculous. It was not fun at all which is why you play games. The issue is with Bungie for players quitting. Bad matchmaking, team of 4 vs solo team, unable to choose the game mode and terrible ttk is all on Bungie. Lets not forget the on and off terrible lag. Players are not responsible for other player experiences. Quickplay is for casuals yet matchmaking is first based on connection. Thus you get terrible matchups where teams get stomped. Most matches are not close, either your slaughtering or getting slaughtered.

They need to add game-mode selection before they introduce penalties for quitting. Not that I’m playing D2 now, but when I was I refused to play Supremacy. And because countdown was 50:50 I didn’t even touch competitive.

3 RepliesI get what you're trying to say but can you really blame them for leaving sometimes? I myself got tired of gutting out 1v4 matches where my team quit. If my team starts to leave...I'm sorry but I'm out. 1v4 and getting teabagged by a stacked team after every massacre is not my idea of fun. This was not as bad an issue in D1 so why now?

Wow. I get one player telling me I have to leave matches in case someone's cheating so I don't get banned for someone else's cheating, and then I have someone else telling me I should be banned if I leave a match. No wonder this game is dying. It's more beneficial to not play at all.

1 ReplyI leave because getting placed into five supremacy matches in a row is boring af. PvP should be fun and some modes are not engaging enough. I'll also leave if I have to take care of a family matter/obligation in the middle of a match regardless of how others react. People play their way, not Bungie's way so you'll just have to deal with it.

I can’t fkkking stand it when people do that, whether it’s on my team or the other. It makes the game boring and/or frustrating. ESPECIALLY, when it’s competitive and another person can’t even join anymore.

4 RepliesAren't they introducing a quitters penalty system sometime soon anyway? No idea what form it'll take, but it only needs to be like a 30-60 minute ban if you pull out your ghost or hit the change character function to leave the game. That said, quitters will just pull out the lan cable unless they also throw disconnects into the sin bin too (which wouldn't really be fair tbh)

I only leave when players are idle. I'll stick with a team that is trying until the end, but when it's 2v4 because two people are just sitting in the back getting their call to arms by default I have no patience for that.

Didn't Halo have a penalty for quitting? Quit too many games and the game locked you out of PvP for a period of time. That seems fair.

4 RepliesWho can blame them for leaving when its 4 solo players vs a fireteam of 4? I generally lose when I play crucible and am on the losing side of this. Once I'm down to just me or a team mate, I'll just sit down. And, the winning team will still kill me and teabag me. So, who are the real jerks? Feels like Bungo is to me.

Bungie never codes penalties so that people who just merely got disconnected / some weird named error code / or left because of crazy lag don’t get penalized as if they were the same as a serial quitter / toxic player. Maybe this time will be different..... maybe....
