Eververse was never intended to be a substitute for end game content and rewards- Chris Barret
This is the biggest lie ever. If it was never their intentions then why the hell did they make it the end game? We all know they knew and now they're insulting their community intelligence by lying to us.
Let's get this trending. Maybe someone at bungie will explain how it wasn't there intentions.

The bigger point I'd pose to Chris is, you and your team have it harder than ever. Creating content may be hard, but pales in comparison to how difficult it is to regain trust. And right now you and your team have a trust crisis. If there wasn't 36 pages of consecutive posts of #RemoveEververse, would you and your team even be talking about how there is a huge discrepancy between reward content and Eververse content? Or did this new internal conversation you are having presently spawn simply because we gave such a huge push back? If that is the case, what does that say about your intentions? What does that say about how much we can trust you? So what happens to Destiny if we aren't constantly on your guys' asses ALL THE TIME? Should a community have to work THIS hard to try and steer a game in a healthy direction? Good luck winning back my trust.

To clarify... When people say Eververse is the end game, they really mean that cosmetics is the end game. The reasons why we say eververse is because eververse has some of the best shaders, the only way to get ships, contains some of the best ghosts, the only way to get ornaments for exotics, emotes... and the only way to get them is to grind for exp., which they continuously try to extend, or paying for a random loot drop. The reason why we say cosmetics are the end game is because none of the armor really makes a difference besides the looks. None of the armor has any extra perks, or allow for extra anything. The only armor that has an extra perk are the exotics, which feel lackluster and make minor changes to gameplay.

4 RepliesIt’s hard to insult an already moron filled community. Anytime someone criticizes bungie the bungie defense squad is in full arms. I just don’t get it. Bungie lies to them and they still continue to support them. They throttle XP. They admit making a game was too hard so they focused more on microtransactions and they still defend them. I’ve lost all hope and am extremely exhausted talking to idiots. This game is dying, if not already dead. I’m here to watch it crash and burn. Bungie is not the same studio that brought us halo and it’s more clear than ever before that Activision we’re not the ones to blame. It was bungie all along. They failed. They’re lazy. And they are counting on their community to be a bunch of idiots that continue to buy into the hype.

2 RepliesBungie have being lying to the players since year one. You cannot believe anything they say. They are only making changes because players are revolting against their BS. Destiny 2 is a disaster. This game is not a natural progression from Destiny 1. The changes they will make will be Destiny 1 again. As for Eververse that BS will remain in the game it is the only way they can make money on a regular basis. The contract they signed with Activision is an albatross around their necks. Destiny the game has become the Ancient Mariner from the Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner. Forever cursed.

Isnt the end game the raid, trials, and nightfall prestige? Don't you do those things at the end of the game? Isn't the end game just kind of short.

3 RepliesI really dont play with eververse as my endgame lol forge weapons, raids, ornaments progress, collecting planetary gearsets, collecting all the exotics, trials etc... you guys are just angry eververse is there, and i understand why, but they have taken steps to improve and people still arent happy, so if you're one of those people its time to move on

I would have said that somebody f***ed up rather than Chris Barrett lied.... there’s nothing in that job description to say that Eververse should be the endgame. Clearly they wanted players to be engaged with it, so they might make some money with it. Problem is, overall game design and loot design changes meant that the endgame for D2 fizzled out really quickly for the hardcore player. However, if they simply migrated all that eververse loot to the reward pools for various activities, it wouldn’t have made much of a difference and the endgame would still be much more shallow than in D1 and we’d all still have got to the point we are at now. Cosmetics are not substantial or enticing enough to keep the majority of the community engaged. Chris Barrett has been out since the get go seeking feedback for what we want his live team to work on, now they have taken active management of the live game and based on his previous work on HoW, the April update during TTK and the AoT, I believe he and his team are the best people to right the Destiny 2 ship.

1 ReplyHas no one figured out the connection between “reduced time to super” in the game and the recently added “increased orbs for super” masterwork system? Given mods were originally slated for Tess to “sell” I’d say this game was designed with a massive slant on being P2W from the moment it was “rebooted” 16 months before release.

When all armour is cosmetic with zero perks its pretty obvious what the agenda was. Make the eververse armour the best looking to entice players to purchase silver to have a chance of obtaining the best looking armour. The xp throttling that was exposed was deliberate to push the patience of the player to purchase silver . If armour had perks that made the armour useful in game not as many people would be too bothered about ever verse armour.
