Can you please make snipers so they aren't worthless outside of pvp

They take up 16 slots in my inventory and are a detriment to anyone who chooses to use one outside of pvp. Only the raid one is useful with snapshot for pvp. I'm considering deleting them all for valuable vault space. More vault space and space for shaders/mods also would be great.

The Problem for me is, i mostly never have the Range to actually use them the Zoom is mostly way to far to aim with comfort. using hiogh impact snipes for Calus dps with rally barricade? yea maybe mor dps but why should i use this power weapon just for this fight if it is A not nearly needed B. uncomfortable to use and C worthless in the content befor and swiotching power weapons consumes ammo some times. I would rather have very heavy Scouts with a little more zoom, that would feel better but in a power weapon slot? why would i use a snipe when i can use rockets on the same distence with more comfort and mostly the same or higher dmg, esplecially with cluster bombs. + Rockets should be for multikills and granade launchers should be for more dps since the higher fire rate, but rockets outclass nearly everything imo ...oh and there are linear fusion rifles ... never seen a good one but always wante to try them in late game again since i rembmber the one time i used one there wase a shit load of crit dmg (honestly the cluster bomb rockets are way too stronk, i have no reason to use anything diffrent, i even feel they do more dmg thenn mercyless)

  • I'd offer up my Hunter as sacrifice just to have a Black Hammer or a Stillpiercer in Destiny 2.

    • Why does this feel like another way to accommodate casuals?

    • Bro they're just as worthless IN PVP. It makes me want to pull my hair out because I loved D1 PVP. I also love Bungie but at what point do we show them that they've had enough chances to figure this thing out. At what point do we decide that they're EA now... I get that that's a little extreme, but the mind tends to wander when you're getting smacked in the face with MIDA/Uriels all day long and you have no recourse whatsoever besides using the same build. Uninspired game besides the skyboxes.

    • The reason they are so garbage is because the enemies are so non-threatening, there's no need to ever actually utilize long distance. In Halo, on Legendary difficulty, Snipers were super important because you could kill the enemy from far away and therefore stay safe. Destiny is so easy, in terms of damage you take, and AI capability, that there is literally no reason to use them. They use to be good for DPS and plentiful ammo kept them relevant. Now, with ammo shortages and lesser DPS, they aren't useful. The temporary solution is increasing their ammo reserves, which seems fine. The long term solution is changing the gameplay, by making enemies more threatening. I would love to see "Legendary" type enemies occupying certain zones in Patrol; More difficult, tougher, with smarter tactics. Cabal Firebases, or deep in the Arcology, for example, would be the places you would find them. It would make the game feel more lived in, and more dynamic. Right now, Patrol, etc. feels like a cakewalk or really difficult (Heroic Adventures only). We need more threatening enemies, and the gameplay experience would greatly increase, and make snipers more relevant. Its like we need to look back at Halo and remember what it did so right that made Bungie so relevant as a game developer.

      • They should hold more ammo honestly. They should also not have orbs on multi kills, that's a waste of ammo.
