Anyone still defending bungie by this point is just blind and clueless.

  • Anyone who doesn’t like the game yet still hangs out on the forum to shake their salt out is a sad little person who I feel pity for. Like so rando said, “I don’t like Chick-Fil-A. I’m not gonna stand around their store telling people I don’t like it and they shouldn’t either, I’m just not gonna eat there.” Blasphemer for not liking their food but pretty spot on. Too bad all the salty, angry fanboys can’t move on or let go. I’d hate to see what happens when their other half leaves them. 😱 might end up watching the result on TruTv.

I’m a major Destiny fan, a self confessed fan boy and I didn’t get the DLC. Feel a massive sense of let down. There’s no defending it.

  • Agreed. Love destiny but the devs are ruining the game.

  • it's like you think $20 is the end of the world. Ever been to a cinema and seen a bad movie? Did you criticize as hard as you do for D2?

  • It's an issue of principle, not price.

  • But if you don't like the content of the game, why buy the DLC for that game? It's an issue of common sense more than principle. -blam!-, if I buy a burger from McDonalds do I have the right to complain because it doesn't live up to my equivalent priced BurgerKing burger standards? Out of my own self sense of principle, and what a $X burger should be like?...

Anyone guilty of disliking the base game and then choosing to buy the DLC anyway is a fool, but that's not really the point. The fact that Bungie locks players who fail to purchase the DLC out of content they previously had access to is reprehensible. That's why people are upset. It has nothing to do with the cost, since anyone playing an online-only game on the newest console generation can obviously spare $20. If you buy a burger from McDonald's, you absolutely have the right to complain, especially if you know you can get a better burger for the same price at Burger King. I'm not sure what you mean when you talk about your burger standards and your idea of what $X should get you, but it sounds like you're suggesting that it's purely subjective, which isn't the case. It's easy to compare the content and price of different DLCs from various companies to determine what constitutes a good deal.

Was unaware of the content blocking here. How is this happening? Are players with the base game getting 301 light level pieces and unable to equip until they are level 21 (therefore DLC required) That's pretty shit. My whole burger thing was to show a point of opinion. I can't really complain at Mc'ds that their burger isn't a BK burger. Doesn't matter, it's irrelevant and a bad way to demonstrate a point.

  • Hey guys!! This is what you payed for in CoO!! -Basically 4 actual exotics that arnt re-hashes or just invisible % increases. -30 "power levels" that are gained within 2 weeks (doesn't matter, seeing as the world is tuned to you anyways) -A 200x200m square mercury with 2 public events that give blues -The 'infinite forest' which is repeating set-blocks of the same color/design over and over that take roughly 5-15 minutes to complete. For blues. -A "raid tier" shorter than the first ENTIRE raid. In the same ship. With the same design. With the same looking weapons. That...guess what? Have the same modifiers. And GUESS WHAT. HAVE THE SAME ENEMIES INSIDE. -Same-same BUT different heric strikes. Essentially enemies that get bullet spungey and do more damage. For.... Maybe another legendary emblem. -1 new PvP map that looks like its ripped from Halo Forge. -Some 'Armor ornaments' That essentially just add a flashlight or an antenna to your helmet. -Some new premium shaders...But oh lets get to that... ATLEAST THE BRIGHT DUST VENDOR GOT AN OVERHAUL AND THE ONLY UNIQUE LOOKING PIECES IN THE GAME ARE IN THERE. YOU BOUGHT ACCESS TO THE STORE THAT ALLOWS YOU TO GET MORE LOOT BOXES WITH YOUR VISA. THERE'S MORE BRIGHT-DUST SKINS IN THE VENDOR THAN THERE ARE ARMOR PIECES IN THE GAME. Ahem~ No new abilities or skill tree changes. No PvP balance or adjustments, still cant que for what games modes you want too while locked in 4v4. No PvP ranking system. No significant PvE changes. Shoot the glowing part to win. Still locked in a 3 person 'fireteam' No real challenge besides prestige raids. 90% of which were cheesed with ward-coils. This 'new tier' will probably be cheesed aswell with no fix until next expansion next spring (If this game isnt canned by then) I Hate you bungie. Ill never forget the day i waited in the blistering cold at midnight for Halo 2. I went home and played that game almost everyday until halo 3. And the same with that until ODST. And then all through reach. Thousands of hours would be an understatement. You used to make great games and people loved them. They were revered as the best. Now you're washed up. Take your bright dust and shove it up your ass; Maybe it'll make the diamonds you killed your franchise for. EDIT;; Anyone coming onto here and trying to justify CoO. In my day, DLCs were shivering isles. Or RD Undead nightmare. With half the tools developers released more for less. IN CURRENT TIMES Take a look at the witcher 3. Blood and Wine as a DLC is bigger than Destiny 2 as an entire game. A castle is the size of mercury and 10x as detailed. A single character has more voice lines than EVERY character in the DLC combined. This 'content' is effortless trash. I refunded within an hour. I feel bad for anyone who eats this garbage up. You probably vibe to mumble rap and eat frozen dinners as luxury. You have zero taste in games. And ABSOLUTELY no concept of quality

Sorry the game isn't to your expectations, glad you were able to receive a refund. There certainly are better DLC's around, for other games. But, that doesn't mean that this isn't worth $20, if you enjoy the game. If you don't enjoy the game, sure, ofcourse it's not worth... But buying a DLC to a game you don't like or pre-ording for a game, is on you. There's also a fair bit wrong in your novel there, for example the enemies in the raid lair are Vex based, not cabal. But it doesn't matter, your opinion on the game is set and that's cool. Enjoy your day mate.

  • It's not perfect. But it is still certainly decent fun for $20. Much more so than most movies, or $20 standalone games. There's no defending bungie here. If it were $40 for the DLC... Then yeah I'm on board with your point.

  • You obviously don't grasp the point. It's not about how much the dlc was that determines how much slack you can give bungie. It's about the lack of care and effort coming from bungie.

Oh by all means, Bungie are absolute cunts and haven't delivered as much as they should/could have for the destiny franchise. But that doesn't mean I think i wasted $20. I've still had at least 8 hours doing the DLC story/raid/strikes, and more to come. I'd spend another $20 to keep me entertained for 8hours (I spend $20, for a 2hour movie....). I'm not stoked by the DLC, but I'm not up-in arms, because realistically... It is probably $20 of content.... Bungie would have charge "new game' prices for a real DLC.
