The playerbase is already shriveled up to almost nothing, now you have a DLC paywall separating the players that are left. Nobody is buying it, more players of the base game will leave since you've removed content and DLC players are going to walk away in a week when they get tired of walking around MERCURY!. Not to mention your PR is in ruins
Give this DLC away, get millions of players back, fix your sandbox and maybe there will be players left when you want to sell your 3rd expansion.

Edited by MightyJonE: 12/7/2017 7:48:24 PMLook, here’s the thing - I think by now, and after 3 years, Bungie have seen and read all the grievances there is to see and read about Destiny. Everyone’s said everything a million times over, so, apart from any feedback regarding any new minor alterations, there’s nothing more to say that hasn’t already been said by players, repeatedly So despite all this, if the current state of Destiny is the game they’ve created regardless, and therefore players are still dissatisfied, then perhaps we have to seriously consider just moving on elsewhere Look, as a business, I’m sure Bungie and Activision see the forums as helpful feedback - whether they respond to it or not, along with their analytics, it helps them fine-tune the game to endeavour to maximise profits. But if this is the result, what’s the point anymore of coming here? We’re buying into Destiny with our money. Our hard-earned money. And games aren’t cheap. In an age where wages have been stagnating for many years while the cost of living has risen, our money is more precious than ever. And this is compounded by a sense that certain developers and/or publishers are living in a bubble Compared to many many games, the value simply isn’t there in Destiny’s content. We’re paying a lot for very little. And after 3 years, there’s the sense that Destiny is STILL on the rocks, that Bungie are STILL pulling some of the same old stunts. And so perhaps it’s time for those of us who are disenfranchised enough to finally throw in the towel And sadly say, enough is enough
