Great video from Houndish over viewing the Twitch-con announcements. It Looks like the Y3 Live team that we know from Age of Triumph is doing their stuff.
And this is with barely any details of what Curse of Osiris is.
Bungie do seem like they are working on fixing the problems we stated.
So Good on you Live Team. Now to see what the Curse of Osiris team is bringing. I'd expect a reveal trailer and gameplay in early November.
And before any of you say "Ehh The weapons are reskins again BUNGIE IS STATAN AHH!:"
This is a Live team, Meaning they have way less resources than the DLC and Main teams. The fact they were able to re-implement armor ornaments is good enough in my book. Those look sweet.
Also, in D1 we had the exact same IB weapons the whole year. At least this is different. and keeps every third or so IB fresh.
First of all, The live team cannot change the environment in the game because of the game engine version. Destiny 2 is running on the same engine as HOW did. They can do it but it will require a huge download on our part to be able to update the code. This is something they have only done in the past with big new dlc's like Rise of Iron and TTK. You won't see anything even close to what was in Rise of iron until the third DLC drops.

Edited by cherries: 10/21/2017 10:55:55 PMDid they buff primaries, reinstate special weapons, buff movement speed, and ability cooldowns?

Wake up and smell what you're shovelling.

I do love me some reskins, hideous ghost shells and sparrows brought straight from year 3 :) lets just all forget the prestige raid problems, endgame problems, exotic problems and just play dress up, I didnt know destiny 2 wanted to be a first person version of Gaia online.

Edited by The End: 10/22/2017 8:43:50 AMLive team HAVE the resources to 3D Model Assets and use the engine to create new environments, they just havent been instructed to do so. You guys are essentially chickens pecking at little sprinkles of seeds, you could have the whole bag, but you never will. *bwuark bwuark*

You are really excited over armor ornaments? Wow this is pathetic. Here is your cool aid.

Good changes? The only good changes were the changes to let us straight up buy IB stuff with tokens and have less randomness for what we get during faction rallies. EVERYTHING ELSE was cosmetic. Literally everything else. Ornaments? Cosmetic (and not something new, either). Armor, shaders, new ghost shells. Cosmetics. And then there's the announcement that they're now using Bright Engrams as a timed-exclusive mechanic, meaning they're preying on people's emotion about feeling like they HAVE to have items by the end of a season to get them to spend money. Still no sparrow or ghost shell or ship rewards for in game activities. All still tied to Eververse. Outside of the IB and Faction Rally loot reward changes, everything announced reaffirms the fact that this game now appears to want to be The Sims Dress Up: The FPS. Not a progression looter shooter.

Dude, the Live Team is awesome. They kept D1 alive for me post Rise of Iron (didn't they also do the April Update?).
-
Great job bungle!! For giving us back what we had in d1 y3. So awesome that will be the "new content" For the next couple dlc/events. Thanks bungle you're the best!

The problem we are going to have in future all the DLC is already coded just needs some finishing. With all the changes they need to implement that the community wants it’s too late, it’s not possible to change the whole coding in the DLC it will take about a damn year to implement the changes needed. Each change now will have to completely recode the future content that’s already done! This game will take at least another year to implement the changes that are needed, the player base will have moved on. Who is going to keep it alive because the hardcore gamers are already leaving including me, the casuals will just hop onto the newest shiny game that comes out every couple of months! They -blam!-ed up big time, did they learn from D1 obviously not. Towards the end of D1 I thought the had almost cracked it, I was hoping that D2 would be an improvement a leap forward not a step backwards... Who am I to comment or even have an opinion? I’m just a customer a lifelong gamer a Bungie fan from the beginning but they have lost their way, we have to play the game that they want not what we want, so we can just leave because they will not admit the mistakes! Please communicate with us as a community why just random cryptic one liners we are listening, we are working on it etc...

Honestly, the live team should have been in charge of development for D2. They did a lot better job then Luke smith at creating a good dlc
-
Live team updates are great I am not going to complain. I will however complain about the inherent issues with the game. That is not the liveteam's responsibility but I will complain about how we aren't getting mid season rebalance patches. Like every competitive game out right now and Bungie is trying to make D2 competitive.
-
First off the December DLC is ALREADY finished are ready to go and probably has been for a year+. It will be a new planet with 3 story missions and a few adventures and a public events zones. That's it.
-
I watched unknown players take but yeah, pretty hard to walk away from it pissed. The live team is getting in there and fixing some shit and I'm honestly really excited for the future of destiny 2. Plus, we may be able to deliver a final blow to a strike boss with a -blam!-ing snowball.
-
Lol this guy is so bad at pvp. And he plays players just as bad as him ... Well done bungie, sbmm noob protection
-
Great. Cosmetic items and reskinned guns with some new rolls on them. This will really fix the endgame.
-
So the first lot of paid DLC will just put in some of the things that should have come with the first release.
-
Edited by DuBChiri2: 10/21/2017 6:06:36 AMI can only hope the changes improve on the game.
