In case you didn't know, Worlds First cheated
There's another clip floating around of him doing the same glitch at the dogs so it's safe to assume that they did it throughout the whole raid ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Coil glitching is when you switch to the Wardclif Coil, pick up one block of heavy, switch to a different heavy and you'll have max ammo for the one you just equipped.
Cozmo's Official Response: "We have seen the reports that an ammo exploit was used today in the Prestige Raid. This was not the specific exploit we were checking for and we don’t currently have the ability to detect it. Tomorrow we will release the top 3 finishers in the TWAB. You can make your own decision as to who should be celebrated."

4 RepliesI would like to say something about this "cheat", the Redeem clan is popular for their speedrun destiny content, and if anyone was unaware, the race for worlds first was a speedrun. Now for other achievements such as worlds first solo Skolas and Crota, heavy ammo glitches were used, and no one tried to hide it. No one questioned their legitimacy. But now for some reason it is a big deal. Would anyone care to explain to be why this is only an issue now. Because if this run is invalid, then so would all of the other speedruns. TLDR; Heavy ammo exploits have been in the game since D1's launch. And if this run is considered illegitimate, then many other "world first" runs would be too.

3 RepliesHow does anyone know if at any point during any of the attempts at worlds first someone in a fireteam of 6 didn't use the coil ammo exploit. The only people being called on this are the ones who were streaming or released video of their raid. If worlds first is dis counted, how do we know that player no5 in the 2nd place team didn't use the exploit at the baths. Or player no3 in the 3rd place fireteam didn't use the exploit in between running during gauntlet. And so on and so on. Let's all remember that gothalion and broman had already played kings fall at bungie before that released and they got worlds first on that raid. I think knowing the raid to get wf is worse than using the games own mechanics.

Cheating is doing something that must be prohibited by [i]clearly defined rules[/i]. Meaning "To violate rules dishonestly" - Miriam Webster And in this case I'm unaware of a rule that states what they did violated a stated rule. Although I'm not claiming there isn't one. In Destiny 1 we could use ammo synths in order to obtain ammo. That ammo could then be used by any weapon which used that ammo type. It wasn't limited only to the equipped weapon. However, as I understand, they picked up heavy ammo and used it to load Wardcliff Coil. Then, without using that weapon, switched to another heavy weapon which was already loaded. Although that may not have been Bungie's intent and therefore a bug, how could they know it was not intended to be possible? Furthermore, in a post below, someone stated that running past enemies is apparently allowed since one can't say that running past enemies was not intended to be possible. If it wasn't meant to be possible then it shouldn't be. Yet it is. And to my knowledge there's no written rule that says you can’t. Meaning it shouldn't be considered cheating. Perhaps this is best summed up by stating the universal rule of rules: That being, If something is not specifically prohibited, then it's allowed.

7 RepliesWorthless Scrubs. They cheated and anyone defending them is worthless as well. Clan Redeem = cheating ass scrub in my book. The people that completed it without cheating are the true world's first - I'll say it because Bungie won't. Yet another instance of Bungie condoning cheating. No surprise there. "Stream it and all is forgiven."

4 RepliesTo anyone who is saying they cheated - they did not. Was it an exploit sure maybe. But every raid before had exploits that were used and we have no definitive way of knowing if the other teams didn't use any anyways. So stop kissing streamer butts and be mad at Bungie who released a half done game.

2 RepliesWHO CARES if they cheated. Who remembers who as first in VOG, Heroic Vog, Crota, Heroic Crota.. does it even matter today that whatever team beat the raid first.. They did it, got the tweet from bungie and feel good about being first.. on to another day of nothingness in Destiny. Do we bake anyone a cake or celebrate any world first around here? didnt think so. LEts put the blame on any exploit, glitch or other dubious way of playing this game on the lack of ability on Bungies end to properly vet out issues. They don't test near enough, don't know the game they put out well enough and try to put shiny objects in our way to appease us.

Ammo glitch isn’t as bad as a no adds glitch. We used to use our ice breakers to get loads of purple bricks on Crota. It does taint the worlds first, but it’s just ammo.

Heavy ammo glitch is cheating? Crota Skolas Sword swapping Sleeper Simulant Yeah no one uses a heavy ammo glitch ever. Don’t give me the “worlds first” crap argument either. There’s no trophy or reward outside of acknowledgement. Hardly worth policing. Bungie had two hours to decide if it was cheating before they announced the results and they didn’t view it as such. You viewing it this way will do zero absolutely nothing to change a thing. Except give you and whoever will listen to your crusade something to chat about. So there you go. Chat away. Type witty.
