6 RepliesIt’s astounding how many threads I see asking to “bring things back”. Things we shouldn’t even have to ask to be brought back. Things that should have never been taken away to begin with. Anyway, with that being said yes, I agree. Dead ghosts. Who doesn’t like exploring and finding hidden objects that unlock lore?

4 RepliesWe need to have in game lore charts like every other game. Its 2017 and games with lore like destiny should automatically have a in-game lore system. Shadow of war has it and its release time was very close to destiny 2 release and they had a lower budget.

Had nothing to do with superiority. It was a nice mini game that kinda made you want to chase grimoire score. For this reason, I don't care for how the lore was "implemented into the game"...It kind of was. Not really though. The old grimoire system would be perfect if a "grimoire" menu tab was added to the customization/inventory menu. Several people have created templates for how that would've looked in Destiny 1. Still wouldn't be "in the game though". If Final Fantasy XV was an fps, using a similar weapons system as in Destiny 2, it would be the most played game of 2017/2018. That's a hint at how FFXV puts lore in-game It's like they're doubling back in a frenzy to eliminate the MMORPG elements in a rush to oversimplify the fun. Odd move.

The thing I love about Destiny is how detailed the destinations are. As I find one small, beautiful area after another I find myself looking for dead ghosts. I loved the extra bit of lore that they added, and Destiny 2 could do so many good things with these little shells of information. Maybe a lore tab in the menus, where it navigates like the grimoire but is actually IN THE GAME, like they promised. This little bit of detail in a game like this could add another bit of depth, where we could solve Destiny’s mysteries by ourselves. In other words, add dead ghosts.

Right now scannable items are all fluff, "there's a thing out there and it's a mystery!" I'm looking for names, places, descriptions of events, stuff Destiny 1 had an abundance of. Honestly I never had a problem with grimoire itself, only the importance people put on the stupid number (because people desperately need quantifiers).

1 Replynot necessarily dead ghosts.. but things like Calcified Fragments or Siva clusters that gave you a reward / quest after x amount of them were found.. that'd be nice.. i like the easter egg hunts with a point dead ghosts was just "oh you found me, here's a grimoire". I'd rather have a gun / armor
