When you see a small puppy or a baby you may get the feeleing of wanting to hold it and squeeze it. This is because your brain cannot handle how adorable something is, so it balances out this flood of positive emotions with negative emotions.
TL;DR your brain cannot process somthing so cute so it reacts by trying to squeeze it.

So, it’s my brain telling my hands to physically destroy and deform the object, whilst telling my consciousness that I should be unbelievably happy about wanting to do it. I think my brain needs to chill the -blam!- out

"Cute aggression" is one of my favorite terms. Right up there with "percussive maintenance" (hitting a computer or whatever until it works).

Edited by NobleN6: 10/16/2017 3:38:42 AMWell, actually I'm pretty sure the part of your brain "in charge of" cuteness is also "in charge of" aggression, and the signals can get mixed up. But you know, whatever works

I try to tell this to people all the time, but they just keep complaining about their dead puppy like it’s my fault or something.
