The irony of joining Dead Orbit

With Dead Orbit being on top for the Faction rally through pure numbers wanting the shader I figured I'd go ahead and talk about how ironic it is to join Dead Orbit. Throughout Destiny 1 and 2 we are doing all sorts of things for the Vanguard, the City, and to help the Traveler heal, going as far as to recover shards stolen by the hive and assauting the Last City just to take it back. Dead Orbit pretty much wants to do the opposite. They want to run away, abandon Earth, the Traveler, the City and our past. They want to set out to the stars and hope we can rebuild out there. Joining a Faction usually means you support their views looking at it from an actual stand point and not just for shaders. The majority of Guardians who participated in the Faction rally (After beating the Campaign, doing everything to protect the city, the Traveler, the Light and everyone who inhabits it) joined the Faction who wishes to abandon the Earth. Now it's banners are strewn through the wall that we currently occupy, guardians wear the shaders and emblem, would weapons and proudly wear their Dead Orbit gear and still fight for the City.
