D2 pvp will not last as long as D1 pvp did.
UNLESS.....
Bungie give us variety. As of now, the crucible is WAAAAAY to campy. I'm still hopeful that we get a 6v6, free for all, and all playlists we had before. If not, the longevity that D1 had isn't happening in D2.
Bungie, I hope you answer the call once again.

I don't mind the 4v4 but I wish we at least had the option of 6v6, 3v3 and free for all... I miss combined arms and 3v3 lol I guess I will continue to visit D1 every now and again for those options. Maybe with the DLC we get some of those back for PVP?

See what I think has also happened is all the little girls who sucked at D1 love this because now they can ride like master blaster with their buddies and think they're good. The funniest part is when I decide to actually move with a team and nobody wants to wrap a bend because they know they're dead almost instantly from teamshotting Lmao so retarded

More often and better abilities means more punishment for team stacking. Since they were all needed to oblivion, nothing opposes this kind of style anymore. Back in my day, if I landed a scatter grenade, you died.

With Halo players, if you weren't good at the game you had no place on the table to discuss what would be considered imbalanced. Halo players knew that deep down and it wasn't even about elitism, just honesty of opinion through experience with a foundation on a community based on bettering themselves at the game. Not at the expense of changing the game to make them better without any extra effort on their part. [u][b]They had to earn their right to a credible opinion.[/b][/u] Destiny players are more entitled than ever, but Bungie/Activision are enablers for allowing them to have a clear impact on the final say. Blame is on both sides. Halo's changes were on bungies term and often remained unchanged, even if the community despised it at the time, [bloom, no hitscan BR, AL etc], Destiny changes with the wind whenever someone crys popularity = OP. And it only takes a one whiner to light the forrest fire here.

100% agreed! I've posted a few post about this same thing and see countless guardians expressing mutual discontent. Crucible doesn't feel right and the campy team shooting is horrendous and flat out boring. The time to kill is extremely long and every match plays out exactly the same. They really blew it with PVP which makes me a sad panda because I spent most of my time on D1 in the crucible but now I dread even going in :(

1 ReplyJust look at all the amazing gameplay montages ppl put out showing their D2 skill. Oh, wait... there are none. Getting three defeats while team shooting from one part of the map to the other does not make watchable content. Crucible is just bland and boring. And the pity is, this did not happen by accident, but Bungie chose to make it this way.

If you're playing with friends, it's a group mid-range pew pew with primaries. You no longer feel like a superhero carrying powerful weapons. You now feel like a soldier with an airsoft gun, who also has a few powers. IMO, it's more fun as a group than D1 was, but not fun at all playing solo. My PvP time is relegated to the one day a week when I hook up with my buddies now.

1 ReplyWait till the PC community gets it, Oh it'll be a shit storm. Destiny had 2v2, 3v3 & 6v6 game modes, all of which gave variation to crucible. Also helped that you could choose your -blam!-ing game mode but hey, that was removed with the gutting of destiny 2.

Anyone who actually enjoys the current crucible....hahahahaha. Bungo designed D2 around PvP, thereby screwing over PvE...yet the PvP is still just about the worst hunk of scroting junk around. Nonces.
