In a game where changing armor is purely a cosmetic option..
Why are there already so many reskins?
I was excited for faction rallies to show up in hopes of maybe some more gear choices, but what do we get?
More reskins :/

Reskinning the same armor over and over is cheaper and requires less work, who cares that it's -blam!-ing bullshit. Right?a No seriously though. When d1 came out, people were pissed at the lack of story and content and..well.. Reskins too... But. Destiny 2? I've never see a game with this much negative feedback in the first six weeks and have the developer just sit there jerking off with their thumb up their ass. This time in destiny one we'd already had atleast one rebalance to address existing problems... This time round I swear their like "if we just ignore the protests they'll stop complaining eventually.... Right?

Seriously I don't like looking like I am sponsored, leave that to NASCAR and all that. I understand their love for graphic art and this games embracing of it, and that being the point of factions, but I really don't like it. I wish they would focus more on armor with ornaments that are obtained by achieving certain milestones while wearing/using it or something. That way you can further see what people went through to look the way they do, as they mentioned way back when. Like killing x amount of hive whatever puts some sort of hive crap on it and it represents that milestone appropriately. Same goes for weapons, and if it is faction armor maybe extrapolate it from its base look to be more unique. You have to earn that look if you want it.

4 RepliesThe armor you get from every location vendor (vanguard, crucible, failsafe etc etc) is different from the others. Raid gear is different. Trials is different. As for guns there are like 4 different gun manufacturers plus raid weapons plus trials weapons plus exotic weapons Stop complaining

I agree with you, i think its just stupid to have the armor system how it is. I almost feel like we should have a glamor slot to teh side of all our armor slots, so we can LOOK how we want. yeah i love some of my exotic peices but...they dont' always match, i'd love to get the full set of eververse, but in order to do so, i'd have to give up my exotic arms. I feel ya man, i think it would be nice to add in a glamor system, a simple one.

I will say the gear set for IO is the best by far (beside Trials/Raid/and Tess gear.)

Fixed loot doesn't balance pvp if everyone uses mida and the trials/gift auto rifle anyway....

4 RepliesRe-skinning content is the name of the game that Bungie plays. The lack of a decent pool of variable looking gear was laughable in destiny. What made it worse was that they removed old gear as they introduced new gear in D1. While armor looks a bit better in D2 and a bit more "believable" (minus the exotic gear) there is a severe lack of variance in their designs. And if they remove gear as they introduce new gear instead of adding to the loot pool we'll have the same problem as we did in D1. Re-skinning gear is only ok in very small amounts especially in a loot game, but in a game like destiny in which already only has a select few pieces of gear that look good. Re-skinning is not an appropriate solution.
