Destiny 2 crashes when going to the tower
Destiny 2 is crashing about half the time i take my character to the tower. I get booted out of the game completely with an error to report to Playstation - error code CE-34878-0. I'm on a regular PS4.
This happens in fireteams and alone.
So far, i've cleared cache, rebuilt the database on the PS4, and completely deleted all game data and re-downloaded and installed the game.
The only thing that I do with my playstation that isn't the norm is to unplug it completely a couple of times a week if i'm moving it to another room, so it would have the cache cleared quite often.

1 ReplyPC same thing. endless time in the clouds, unable to load character screen until it it blacked out and a error message shot out asking me to repair the game

I only had an endless black screen. The problem was temporarily corrected only by restarting the game.

1 ReplyIt was working just fine for me until the update today on October 19th. Now it just loads me into tower but keeps me at black screen. You guys made things worse with your hot fix.

The same thing happens to me, I've restarted my PS4 and tested my network and 75 mbps so I'm pretty sure it's you Destiny please fix this for real. Logging in takes too long to have to keep closing and reloading Destiny over and over

Same for me. About to move on to another game. It's insane to spend 20 minutes rebooting my PS4 to load an instance.

Ok i havent had a travel to tower crash since doing the following. It used to happen half the time. 1)Start game and select character. 2)go to setting and log out of destiny. 3)close application 4)start destiny again and log into character. I saw a post that said you get booted if the system thinks you aren't logged in. I tried this and so far 8 trips to tower without fail. I hope this helps others.

Yeah, I was looking forward to doing Iron Banner today but after crashing 3 times while going to tower, I decided to take the rest of the day off of D2. Bungie, I want to play your game but this bug is really killing it for me, please fix.

Yup same here, just about every single time I go to the tower it crashes, only when I go to the tower and only this game/app does it, no other games has ever crashed like this. Bungie fix your shit!!!!!!!! You have until November when star wars battle front 2 comes out, if not fixed by then I won't even bother with the osiris expansion.....

This. Absolutely mofo ridiculous. If my game doesnt completely crash when going to the tower, I load in to music and menu abilities, but only a black screen. Sometimes if you wait for a good 2-3 minutes it spawns you in proper. But very F'n rarely. Bungie, I love the game, but jump on the F'n grenade and address this.

So another TWAB passes with no solid plan of when this will be fixed. I'm writing this as my ship endlessly soars toward the tower, unable to access menus properly and unable to blindly change character without the game crashing. Seriously bungie how is this not your ABSOLUTE top priority right now!?!? The term 'literally unplayable" gets thrown around a lot in jest in these forums, but at the moment you quite literally have a game that is unplayable since it crashes so often. Forget people's issues with lore, forget people's issues with endgame content, how is it that a AAA developer can't even produce a game that runs properly without crashing. I'm disappointed, and despite my absolute love of the game, my confidence in you is at an all time low.

I'm having the same issue as everyone else. I was hoping to find some help however. Flying to tower takes 10 min, game crashes get blue screen with error code 3487-0.😡

I was able to get to the tower after making some space for armor and weapons inventory. I didn't need to do anything with the vault. Crashed 3 times before I did this.

Destiny 2 crashes after going to tower. Hi My Crash happens as follows. - I start my ps4 out of sleep mode => No crach - I start Destiny 2 => No crash - I log in => no crash - I select my character => no crash - I go to the tower to io to what every place i can get to doesn't matter => no crash - Afterrrr eny dam activity doesn't matter raid or pvp or patrol public event, when i go back to the tower from the place i was or first go to orbit and then to the tower = > CRASHHHH!!!! - My ps4 doesn't crash it destiny 2 the only thing i do is close destiny 2 start it up again log in select character i'm in orbit i go to the tower => No crash - This is my daily repeat repeat REPEAT..... The funny thing is i don't crash if i go from activity to activity or farm to any place doesn't matter accept from "activity to tower". And one other funny thing i get this crash only with my titan I have a hunter and warlock two but the only differents is that they are D1 characters that i didn't delete and titan is a new character and the titan is my main char the other characters are not so for in story just over the main story. So im out of word here i don't know if there is more to it but here is my story of my Destiny 2 whoop whoop. Ow and bungie... please fix this! Instead of making more content First get your base Right.
