Weasel Errors ONLY Near Activity Completion

Before anyone starts, I'm playing on a 20up/150down wired connection that is properly port-forwarded, and nobody else is using my internet. So why am I getting Weasel Errors near completion of Story Missions and Public Events? It is making this game absolutely unbearable to play. I don't have these random disconnects in any other online game on Xbox, Playstation, or PC (Halo MCC, ESO, Payday 2, CS:GO, Bloodborne, etc., all of my other games stay connected just fine). I've gotten Weasel Errors that required a full power cycle on my console FIVE times in the last hour, all directly before completion of Story Missions or Public Events (so I've been screwed out of tons of rewards from PEs). This issue has been going on for DAYS. But if I go do anything else, I don't get Weaseled. It's making leveling my alts torturous and bordering on impossible. I know it isn't an issue with my network, because of the reasons I've already stated, and because it ONLY happens near completion of Public Events and Story Missions. Anyone from Bungie care to weigh in on why these activities cause so many networking issues, and if they'll be fixed? Because if they're not getting fixed, I'm giving up on leveling alts, because my experience leveling my Hunter has been horrible in terms of random server issues.

  • Weasel has nothing to do with your speed, and being able to at other games is irrelevant. It indicates that you are experiencing packet loss. You need to run a packet loss test on your network, and not just a single test, but multiple times, for extended periods of time as it's most likely an intermittent issue. Contact you ISP as the problem most likely lies in the connection between them and your home, and they can assist you with the testing/troubleshooting on your end.
