Why are swords still in the game?
Swords are useless. You cant use them against any bosses without instantly dying from a melee, or just getting blown away by a stomp to the ground. You cant use the sword against the raid boss either so the only time this sword is useful is against regular enemies. Even then, you're getting swarmed by enemies and bullets so the sword is just a death wish. Maybe is swords had powers like the exotics from Destiny 1, they'd be useful, but in this case, i just use my 305 sword for light and its completely useless.

I love swords in the game. It is by far my favorite weapon and the most fun, imo, to use. Played D1 since day 1. In D1, the moment i got Bolt Caster, I have always had a it equipped and i dont know of any other power weapon that i would choose over a sword. In D2, its the same way. Crown cutter. I hope a bolt caster type comes in the future. MAYBE id now go with a fusion rifle, in some instances. Maybe. Swords4life.

I hope we get a few exotics in the future that make swordd builds more viable i.e. make you less vulnerable to melee attacks like stomps.

It's like they weren't looking st the radar because I team killed them with a sword...from behind. One dude keep shooting in front of him thinking he was being blasted from the front 😂

I like them for Public Events but that's about it.

The same could be said for shotguns since they require you to be as close as possible to be effective
