I'm a loyal fan and I love Destiny from the bottom of my heart. But Bungie..

Your raid is garbage. I can't believe I'm saying that either. In D1, no matter how hard it was at first, I never [i]disliked[/i] an activity. I just realized I had to be better, and get a better team. I loved all the raids. I didn't have a favorite. Skolas included. But Leviathan? Dude. You sit there and you work your ass off trying to beat the encounters only for you to be rewarded with tokens and glimmer. ... [b][i][u]TOKENS. ARE. NOT. RAID. LOOT.[/u][/i][/b] I don't care what bougie ass vendor you put in the tower, if I do the -blam!-ing raid, I want the encounters to [b][i][u]DROP -blam!-ING RAID LOOT. AT A HIGHER LIGHT LEVEL. THAT'S WHAT I DO THE RAID FOR.[/u][/i][/b] I don't do it to get tokens, go to a vendor, and get raid loot below my light level. Come on, guys. Really? And why remove checkpoints? Yes, there are "checkpoints" but not really. You still have to start at the beginning and do the standards encounter to get to where you were. And yeah you could use the underbelly part of the ship as a shortcut but it's still requiring an unneeded part of effort. There was nothing wrong with the way checkpoints worked in D1. And as for the final boss.. Oh my lord. This fat -blam!-er has been the bane of my existence for the past 12 hours. And it's not even me or my team. It's filled with glitches that force a wipe. At first, when I read about it, I thought it was a bunch of unlucky folk but this [b][i][u]is a serious problem.[/u][/i][/b] Let me just name a few. Not seeing an emblem on Fatty's forehead Getting launched [b][u]sideways[/u][/b] in the shadow realm Flying over the barrier for [b][i]no reason.[/i][/b] Psion Bubbles still on the DPS plates Getting teleported into the shadow realm. Then dying for no reason. I could go on. Listen. I know you guys know how to do better. These are the main problems that I think need to be fixed. *Make rewards more frequent and worthwhile. Remove the token system from raids. *Bring back [i]real[/i] checkpoints. I get that you guys probably made Leviathan the way it was so groups could explore it every time they loaded in, but let's be honest; groups will stop giving two shits about the underbelly by the time the 1st DLC hits. I liked progressing through a raid and thoroughly exploring each section I got to. King's fall and Wrath and VoG do this really well. *More bosses. Make encounters difficult, but not tedious. I do not have very much fun getting Calus to his DPS phase. But Aksis and Atheon? Great examples of fun mechanics. *Polish it before you release it. There's no excuse to why there's so many bugs. And that's about it. I really hope you bring the fun factor back in, and add a real loot system. WoTM is a great example of how raid loot should work. Please.   • Welcome to raiding my man. People complaining about raids being to hard are the reason why games like these turn to shit. ITS A RAID. ITS SUPPOSED TO BE HARD AS HELL. ENDGAME. NOT FOR NOOBS. I get the glitches suck but come on you guys clearly never played any type of MMO with impossible raids if your complaining about raiding for 2 hours and being frustrated lmao. Try wiping for 12 hours straight every 3 days on a boss the developer comes out a month later and tells you it is literally impossible. #KeepRaidsExtremelyHard

        Destiny 2 itself is a let down, the only good things about destiny 2 is it's sound track, cutscenes and 2 missions from the campain, the beginning and ending. The public events. The rest is shit. adventures sound cool but whats the point once you get to level 20? There is none. Strikes? Boring and tedious as hell, no fun to be found. Raid is garbage, it could of been great but bungie F#%@ed it up. Loot system is garbage. The majority of loot itself is garbage, both legendarys and exotics. Progression is tedious as hell with nothing really good to grind for. Nightfalls have been ruined. Heroic strikes, Daily Heroics and bountys, they should have kept them. The challenge system is boring and doesn't fit destiny. Tank section is a rip off of their halo franchise but they did it much better in halo. Very few exotics that stand out, way to easy to easy to get. Crucible is a mixed bag, you either like it or hate it. Shaders are one use now, a -blam!-ing money grab scandal. Progression makes you not care about your loot. WTF, the speaker died from a 1 meter drop? Characters beside cayde and ghaul don't get shit for a story. Nothing feels iconic. Lost sectors are pointless Where the hell did the light machine guns go? Grenades hit like a mosquito, while supers hit like a train. No sparrow till lvl 20? Ghaul killed the console? Wtf. Wtf why didn't we bring everyone to the shard? It has lots of light i saw over 100 people with their light.. Why the hell did they make weapon and armor customization worse? I'm talking about the upgrade path. Whys shooting enemys less fun then destiny 1? Idk.

            • Not to beat the dead horse here, but many of us saw this coming a long while ago. I have a huge list (and I do mean huge) of complaints and problems with this game that are really doing nothing more than holding it back from being what it could be, and yes, there's that line... AGAIN. "What it could have been", it's almost like we're being ignored purposefully even though I honestly believe we have a better understanding of what would make this a better title. Rant aside, I agree almost entirely with all of the points you've brought up here. The change in difficulty from encounter to encounter was not well thought out. From what we've seen in the past, the raids follow a linear progression model, starting easy (If you'd call it that), and ramping up the difficulty as you move towards the end. They also inherently teach you bits and pieces of the final encounter mechanics as you're progressing (IE: Oracles and Gates in VoG, Sword in Crota, Relic / Plates in KF, SIVA Charges in WotM), where as this time it's just a jumbled mess of encounters that teach only one part of the encounter and then leave you guessing at the end. Also, some encounters are ridiculously simple, and then are followed up by something completely ridiculous. Baths -> Dogs -> Gauntlet. It literally goes from simple to hard then back to simple again. Now, true, they rotate weekly, but this is outside the point. The point is the scaling of the encounters is simply way out of whack this time around. Next up, I'm not sure why some people are arguing against the perfection complaint, it literally does expect perfection in two of the encounters in the raid. The dogs for instance, if you mistakenly kill one in a two cycle run, you might as well give up right there. And then on Calus, don't even get me going on how easy it is to get bugged out, pushed off of the barrier, or have that one missed callout ruin the run. This was a very bad move, one which I honestly thought Bungie had learned not to repeat after the complaints of King's Fall, but like every other aspect of this game, I guess they've learned to repeat their mistakes. Now true, coordinated groups, no problem. But remember, this is supposed to be something that they wanted to open up to everyone this time. Two words come to mind: Good Luck. Then there's the respawn system which for some reason has me thinking someone screwed up a line of code. That token system really looks as if it's supposed to be reserved for the Hard mode to get rid of the perma-death that everyone was complaining about. Normal mode should have kept the old D1 model of 30s until revive is available, and no death debuff. Finally, don't even get me going on the disaster that is the raid loot. The gear is completely lackluster and almost pointless to strive for outside of being a LL bump. That token system is atrocious in giving you more repeats then anything else so suddenly we're right back at the old forever 29 part of not getting pieces you're missing. So really, all they have to show for here is the art here, and don't get me wrong, the art team knocked it out of the park here. But the background gameplay is just downright, terrible here, and that just brings the whole thing down. So, a list of complaints for a TL;DR person: * Difficulty differences moving from one encounter to the next is severely flawed, the lack of linearity breaks the model of successive build up * No, many of you are wrong. This raid DOES demand perfection in two of the encounters, and for an activity that is wanting to be used in Guided Games, this is NOT a good thing. * Respawn system currently in place should have been used for hard mode, not normal mode * The loot is terrible, no unique perks or gear to shoot for making replayability completely pointless I would write up a big long list of feedback points on how to fix things, but let's be honest... Would they even listen at this point, because I really feel as if ignoring the community is one of the things Bungie does better than every other developer out there.

              • Do you not remember the Atheon portal glitches? Crota going on rampages? Standing up too soon or jumping into the safe room and murdering everyone? How about Vosik safe rooms just plain not working? The glitches in the head realm are annoying. But there are ways to limit the chances of them happening. Everyone deals with the same problems. Bungie will address them as they become apparent. The raid drop rate will also be adjusted, I promise you that. Calm down, dude. It's only week three.

                • All of the weapons are absolute trash. That’s why I’m not playing the raid. I played every raid in D1, there were actual bosses, good encounters and most importantly real checkpoints and really good weapons.

                • The raid loot is absolute trash when compared to previous raid loot. There's nothing that sets it apart from normal legendary items, except for the design. There's no special modifier that is raid specific to assist in any way. Raid providing underpowered gear? Awful. The stress outweighs the rewards.

                  • Agree with you 100%, D2 is a failure. I played over 700 hours of D1 and didnt get sick of it. I'm bored of D2 after 1 week.

                    • This game is actually worse than D1. Way worse. I port forwarded, have fiber internet, and still get error codes. They have issues. I dont know what happened, but its pretty rare you see a company -blam!- things up this bad. You cant even choose a game mode to play in crucible right now. This game is sad.

                    • Just an analogy to 390 King's Fall raid in year 3. I'm used to be totally crap at raids, didn't understand them and Better yet my mechanics were just straight up bad so I always die, very not cool. But when I saw those new amor sets and the exotic primary with elemental burn, I was like wow, i had to do the raid and the challenges. A couple of friends took me to do the raid and explained everything. I was able to beat Oryx and that first time was the greatest!! I love the armor sets so much, I kept playing that raid and got full armor sets for all three characters. I still love kings fall and more than happy to take noobies through. Whatever the formula is for raids in D1 whether the rewards, mechanics and teamwork, it worked!! And that formula did not make it to D2, because Bungie wanted to explore something "new". Well, you know the saying, if it's not broken, don't fix it. D2 was a big hype, and that's probably it feels like a big let down.

                        • My raid group isn't ready yet, and I'm super happy about that. I hope that by maybe week 4 or 5 they've addressed some of these bigger concerns. I've got a laundry list of things I think Bungie screwed up on for D2, but I at least expected them to get the raid right. One step forward (story), two steps backwards (pretty much everything else).

                              • I finally got the emblem. Then you can play with better players. I have 1 turned the Dogs, and 2 turned the Emporer. People just lie and don't play the game. They lie about knowing what to do. They literally miss everyshot like a storm trooper.
