I love using slugs on shotguns. It is the only way I like to use shotguns in other games such as Battlefield. I know this is not a Battlefield title, but I find it a little ridiculous that the slug rounds have the SAME damage drop off as a normal shotgun. They feel almost unusable in my opinion.
In particular, I'm talking about the SUROS legendary "Good Bone Structure". I'm sure there are other SUROS shotguns (slug shotguns) that have slightly better range, but these should at least be doing decent damage up to 50 meters away.
Currently, when you fire a slug at an enemy between 15m - 20m away, it does similar damage to that of a single SMG round. If slugs do not have a niche of being longer range than a standard shotgun, there is no reason to use them at all. You may as well just use a sniper with a short zoom scope.

I agree, the damage falloff is too steep. Slugs are supposed to be high risk and high reward, but right now the scale tips too much on the risk side.
