In public events etc. C'mon I place it for everyone. Step in!
-
Then the Hunter just rolls away like I'm Doing this solo.... Lmao
-
Especially the stormcaller one that gives you a little buddy...love casting a rift near my teammates in crucible and everybody gets some homing rockets buzzing around their head.
-
Not everyone thinks it's a great idea to be constrained to a single spot. Especially when people place them right in the open where everything still shoots at you. Or they might just not notice it's there.
-
I think most people don't know what it is yet and they are pretty hard to see if you didn't know it was already there.
-
Some people don't know wtf it is, because they don't play Warlocks. They could also be too dumb to know how to activate it as a Warlock, which also leads to "wtf is it?". My friend was complaining how he couldn't use his 4th ability, saying something like "Bungie gave us an ability we can't ever use-- FAIL!" Then I have to say "Hold circle (w/e it is for PC/Xbox) or switch crouch to your stick then hold down your stick."... If people would read the controls.
-
You should set them behind Titan shields, makes you immortal.
-
They should color is accordingly, void rift make it like a purple swirly thing etc ect
-
I've played a ton of public events and I haven't seen ONE warlock drop a rift . Not a one and I probably have a couple hundred public events under the belt
-
Even if I don't participate in a Public Event I would still drop a rift for posterity.
-
I tend to miss them. I'm blind and I don't notice them.

Edited by joey big guns: 9/10/2017 3:50:34 AMWhen I would pop a rift I would think I was standing in a pool of water and since I don't really like Warlocks I'll just say, "Hide behind stuff in your rift ya floating, dress wearing princess, the real muscle in the game doesn't need to stand in the pool of glowing piss you created when you got scared."
-
lol I feel you on this
-
Coming from a warlock, in the chaos that tends to be most D2 battles not even I stay in my rift lol. I pop in, grab my arc soul and bail. But I also place it near the corner of cover so people can duck in and out.
-
I usually can't see the rifts while I'm in the action
-
Two words
Stranger Danger
-
To all the players who place rifts in shit spots... I don't have a death wish. I don't care how much the healing is if it's in a horrid location.
-
I think they're just hard as -blam!- to see sometimes. I'll place one down and -blam!-in lose it 😂😂
-
Tell me about it. I see someone about to go down, run over and pop healing rift for them. Then they run off and die anyway while I'm stood there laughing like a maniac as I take all the fire and shrug it off.
-
I'll see you there, remember to tuck in behind the barricade wall I put up in your rift.
-
I think a lot of it has something to do with them just not seeing you place it. Whenever a Warlock places theirs behind me I usually never know until it's too late. Best counters to this problem is to either be on mic or place it in front of them where they can see you putting it down.
-
That's how you get raids
-
In my case, its either in a bad position for me to even bother standing in it or I didnt notice where one is. Usually if it's in a good spot, I would run over and set down a Rally Barrier and take advantage of it. Seriously, who would pass up heals and damage boosts?
-
Lol so it's not just me I'm only lvl ten but I've seen hunters roll out of it I'm like Come on people it's not red therefore chances are it's good to stand in If all else fails white / yellow stuff on he ground is generally good in most mmo types so..... lol
