Disappointing things in Destiny 2: Spoilers

TL:DR at the bottom. Spoilers. Vanilla Destiny Player Played every expansion Plays World of Warcraft (used as an example) and I'm rather disappointing about a lot of things... but I'll name some primary ones. The excuse about "everything is gone" instead of bringing back select gear sets, weapons, and emotes/shaders. So you should expect this crap for further Destiny 3, 4, 5- etc... So why play the game? Will people quit if you make them happy? Everything is gone: What about the reef? What about the gear our characters were currently wearing? The reset on all the models, artwork, and sound design are obviously unique to Destiny 1. But Destiny 2 suffers from the ugly non-interesting "vanilla look" on a brand new game. These default faction armors, 75% of them look like garbage. Maybe they don't to some people. But Destiny 1 was advancing in a great direction for gear sets and a unique "character feel" and tons, TONS of customization. And Destiny 2 took a sh** on that. Shaders' are okay, but what do we do with 237 Moon Red shaders'? SPOILERS:
The Omnigul scream. Okay, take world of warcraft for example, where Blizzard just lazily rehashes crap to make "new content". No, it's lazy, and stupid. Her screams made her unique. I can understand if wizards sound similar, but there was a robbed opportunity to bring back some distraught anxiety of this ressurecting annoyance. I literally was hoping it would end up being Omnigul at the control tower, and I was obviously let down. Also, nice taken models, looked copy/paste. Some are new. But cool, new content, I guess.
Where is Siva? They characters talk about it, but where is it? DLC? I'd hope to get some SIVA looking gear, I'm one of those psychos who actually liked the entirety of SIVA gear sets and story. Speaking of story, how did no freaking guardian report that 5,000 Red Legion ships were heading to Earth. Jump speed? Does earth not have patrols? Sensor grids were off, maybe from an inside job, sure. But with GHOST hacking vex networks, and fallen networks, how did NO ONE realize a big fleet was coming after us? How were the characters not prepared? Cayde-6 literally foreshadowed this in the "THE BROTHERS ARE HEEEERRREEE" strike.
I'm not sold on how we infiltrate Cabal ships. Someone has to notice an entire crew on a base was wiped out by a guardian. Are there not security cameras? Let's give them the benefit of the doubt, they are stupid. Yet smart enough to infiltrate Earth and capture the traveler.
Look I don't want to sound like an a$$, but anyone praising the Destiny 2 content or story has to be out of their minds. There is NOTHING standing out other than maybe some world changes. But this game is a HUGE reset, a HUGE step back, what was the POINT of Destiny 1?
The story may have been great looking at it as a mindless do this do that shooter, but there was NOTHING in-depth that showed improvement other than character sympathy and backgrounds you can speculate on the new villain, Ghaul. This entire game so far, could have simply been a 36G Major Expansion for Destiny 1. So then the issue would be, how do we break down every Destiny being 30+G? Maybe the lazy answer was just resetting everything, but I'd expect a multi-million dollar company to come up with smarter choices.
TLDR: Game feels lazy and un-interesting outside of some character plot. Big step back from DESTINY 1.
