PS4 Pro - Error CE-34878-0

Appreciate that a lot of people are getting this issue. But thought I should still report it happening to me too. Getting kicked out after 15 mins of gameplay with a crash bearing the CE-34878-0 code. Game freezes for a few seconds, audio continues to play, and then audio drops out. A minute or so goes by and then I get a black screen. And then the error message displays. A bit worried this is something to do with hardware being that it only happens on *some* PS4 Pros. Can't confirm for certain that my PS4 Pro is OK with all other games as I've only had it a month after trading in my old original PS4, and haven't played it a lot as I've been away. This is the first game it's happened with but then also the first real hardware taxing game I've played on it (only really been playing Rocket League and Shovel Knight the past month). Considering selling the game or whilst I can get a decent price, or even returning it to the store being that it doesn't work - at least until this issue has been fixed.

  • Hello, We are aware of reports of some PS4 Pro players encountering crashes and are working with our partners to investigate the issue. Some players have reported that turning off "Boost Mode" has reduced the frequency in which this issue occurs.
