To those who are going to wait on D2

This post is for the people who are going to wait a few days/weeks after release to buy D2. First, let me start by saying that there is nothing wrong with that. This is not that kind of post. I'm not going to bash you for not preordering or buying day 1. This is a reminder to be smart when reading and watching reviews. The sad fact is, this community is one of the most toxic I've ever seen from a game. There are rampant fanboys and rampant haters. Neither are ever totally right, and it's hard to hear what's really going on between those two sides screaming at each other. The fanboys will praise every aspect of the game and will spew acid at anyone who disagrees. Their reviews will be them listing off everything in the game and saying how much they love it and that they knew all along that they would love it, with a guaranteed omission of anything negative (except hate thrown at the haters). The haters do the same thing, but rather they relentlessly bash every aspect of the game. Their reviews will basically just be a list of everything they think sucks and how they knew from the start that they would hate it, with a guaranteed omission of anything good. So in your search for the truth, just remember to get opinions from a wide variety of places. The truth will most likely be somewhere in the middle. If all else fails, see if someone you know will let you borrow it, go over to a friend's house who has it, rent it from RedBox, or find any other way to play it for yourself before buying. You are the only one who can say for sure if you'll enjoy a game or not. Tldr: Get opinions from a lot of different sources. Don't trust the first review you see.

 • There are people who give imbetween feedback.. but they tend to get washed out by the "fanboys" and "haters". Also, no one is ever going to fully agree on anything.. thats just how it with people. But that is good advice, to try the game out in some way after release to see if people like it. Its a common sense thing to do that people on here are seriously lacking half the time.
