Depends. I think there's something in the united states where products that run marketing contests are required by law to provide a "no purchase necessary" alternative. I've never done it personally but I think they send you a questionnaire to fill out in exchange for a code or else give you a fixed number of random codes which may or may not end up winning... Probably something to prevent it from being considered gambling. Edit to add. This is exactly why I am against their using these products to market their game... I knew it would exclude millions of people who have medical needs that exclude them.
