I know I constantly ask about films, but all of your guys' opinions really help me with my film ideas. What kind of film do most people want to see usually?

Adventure/drama if I want to really invest my thoughts into a movie. Comedy if I'm bored/multitasking

Original ideas with complex plotlines that blur the lines between protagonist/antagonist, rich with irony, while being completely devoid of political agenda or social commentary.

You know what film I'd really love to see? A proper Hitman movie. Let me explain: The previous 2 Hitman movies have been, well, crap. They were both just generic action movies. I really want a Hitman movie to be an atmospheric masterpiece. The kind of director I'd have in mind would be Scorsese. The Departed was brilliantly executed. The planning of the hits and studying the target could be intriguing. Then having the assassination payoff. It doesn't need to be a full-on action extravaganza. Seriously, if these studios want to make movies based on video games, they need to play the hell out of the game and find out what made the game special in the first place. With Hitman, for me it was always the planning that I loved. Then pulling off the perfect execution without 47 ever being discovered. A man can dream, I guess.

War. Preferably not that wicked propaganda crap that American Soldier was. That movie sucked in comparison to the book. I want a good World War 1 flick. Seriously, we are well past the 100th anniversary of the American declaration of war and not one -blam!-ing movie. Hell, not even a flick on the Brits or French and it's 20-blam!-ingseventeen. WTF

suspense. not horror! suspense. stuff like alien (pretty close to horror but in my opinion it isn't quite there) the sixth sense the knowing and the dark tower. stuff that isn't quite frightening where there is sadistic and creepy ass stuff like clowns and dolls and all that but where it has you on the edge of your seat kind of thing i guess. hard to explain because it sounds like action. but i would say its in the middle of action and horror.

I'm always down for a good comedy or action movie. If I had to choose one I would go comedy

I haven't seen a horror movie that genuinely scared me in a while

There's only a handful of really good horror movies. Quite a bit of decent ones, and then a ton of terrible ones.

I THINK WE NEED MORE SUPERHERO MOVIES

Psychological Thrillers

Comedies, thrillers, or drama.

Edited by CDay007: 8/23/2017 10:51:55 AMMy problem with drama is that it encompasses too much. Soap operas are dramas, but so is breaking bad. Every time I think of a "drama" tv show or movie it's usually just clumped into action.

Action movies get the dopamine flowing a bit more i'd say. Horror movies have you on edge unless you're watching something like Scream or Texas chainsaw massacre with those people you just wanna yell DON'T GO IN THERE I think stuff like the conjuring or the exorcist is really scary, I still haven't been to see Annabelle yet I want to really bad. Most of that is preference though.

If Horror movies didn't constantly cater to dumb audiences, perhaps I would vote horror.

Comedy, action, action and thriller

Only good horror I've seen this year is get out.

If romance movies didn't suck noodles nowadays, I'd probably go for that
