I found myself in a cold vacuum darkness all around me. But, this wasn't right I thought, I was dead. I shouldn't have consciousness. Then came a light, nice and warm and I relaxed and let that light take me. I opened my eyes and starred up at a cloudless sky. I bolted upright. I had died yet now I'm breathing. "Guardian, can you hear me?" A floating cube with separate pieces and a big glowing eye floated into my vision, "Good, now I know you must have questions so let me just start with this. I'm what's known as a ghost I brought you back from the dead." "Wh...what...?" I asked confused. I looked at my hands and reached up to touch my face only to find that I was wearing a helmet. I looked at my surroundings to find I was sitting next to a highway with rusted cars that look decades old crowding the place. To my left was a giant wall covered in rust. The ghost looked like it was about to say something more when a wormhole appeared in the sky and out came a ship with black platings. "Oh no," the ghost said quietly and with panic in its robotic voice as three creatures appeared below the ship. They all had green eyes and armor that looked to be made of bone, with clever's as big as swords as well as a bone chilling smile on all of their faces. The one in the middle seemed bigger and had yellow armor in contrast to the other twos' rust colored armor. My head listed their names above their heads. The ones to the right and left of me were called "Hive Knights" yet the one in the middle was known as, Urzock the Hated. I feared for my life when I heard something, footsteps. Pounding footsteps. I looked to my right to see a helmeted figure wearing black robe charging forward towards the knights, sword in hand. As the two unnamed knights charged forward they were suddenly tossed to the side by an unseen force. Then another figure wearing a cloak charged at the two knights with his own sword and preceded to fight them. The robe figure starting making rapid jabbing motions with his sword forcing this, Urzock character to hold up his sword in defense. I watched as the two men made quick work of the knights. Once they were done I got up and approached them ready to say thanks when I heard cries and laughter. I looked back to see dozens, possibly hundreds, of creatures all barreling towards us. The two men that had saved me turned and ran up some stairs and into the wall, and I quickly followed. Once inside we ran up a few stairs and found ourselves in a more open room. As soon as we entered one of my saviors threw a grenade at the ceiling and the other slashed support beams with his sword. I was confused as I kept running but then I saw the roof begin to collapse in the path, it was an effort to slow the creatures down. They ran threw hallways until they found themselves in a big open space standing on a platform. The man in robes turned to me, "Your ghost tell you the basics?" He asked me. Before I could I could respond the ghost, or my ghost, came out of my armor matrix and answered for me. "I barely had time to tell him that I was a ghost before the hive showed up," he said, answering the mans question. He nodded the held out his hand and a rifle with a blue and orange color scheme appeared in his hand. "Your gonna need this," he said handing it to me. I looked at it and saw that there was an inscription in it, a name I guess. Galahad-E. "My names Silas and that hooded figure over there is V," he said nodding at V, "Welcome to the Cosmodrome guardian." The sentiment was short lived however as the bloodthirsty cries of the aforementioned hive came from behind and they began to run again. They came across hallways and tried our best to throw obstacles down to slow the hordes of monsters at our heels. We eventually came into a large open space with a hole in the back wall, and four armed creatures everywhere. My HUD marked these creatures as fallen with respective ranks and yellow markings adorned their armor. We started to run towards the other side of the room where an open door was waiting while shooting any thing that got in our way. We were halfway their when the hive burst into the room and the fallen, sensing a much larger threat, focused their fire on them as we ran out the door and made our way into the cosmodrome. Silas turned back to look at us, "The hive shouldn't follow us this far, we're in fallen territory," he reassured us, "But, just to be safe" he turned to V, "Send a distress signal to the tower, tell them that we have a newly resurrected guardian and that we're stranded." V nodded and walked off to go talk to the tower. "And while we're waiting for a ship to come pick us up," he said turning towards me, "I'll fill you in on what you need to know.
