[BUNGIE] Clan Migration - Updated 7/26

[b][url=http://bungie.net/en/Help/Article/46081#GroupFounder]The Clan Migration process is now available! Click here to read the Clan Migration Guide and FAQ.[/url][/b] The purpose of the Clan Migration process is to prepare existing Destiny communities for the new Clan features introduced in Destiny 2. A part of this process requires splitting the Group and Clan features of the Destiny Companion Web and Mobile App. [b][url=http://bungie.net/en/Help/Article/46081#GroupFounder]Action Needed by Group Founders[/url][/b] Starting on July 26, 2017, Group Founders will be presented with a support flow to help them choose one of two options for the Clan Migration process. [spoiler] [b]Only the Group Founders of Groups that have an associated Clan will be eligible to complete the process[/b] - Group Founders can visit their [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Me]Clan homepage[/url] and choose the Edit Settings button on the banner at the top of the page to begin the process and choose one of the options described below - Group Founders will have until [b]August 23, 2017[/b] to choose their desired option - Every Group with an associated Clan will default to one of the two available options based on Clan membership as described below - Group Founders can change the selected option an [b]unlimited number of times until August 23, 2017[/b], at which time the currently selected option will go into effect[/spoiler] [b][url=http://bungie.net/en/Help/Article/46081#UpgradeClan]Option A: Upgrade to a Destiny 2 Clan[/url][/b] This option is recommended for smaller communities (3 - 100) where the majority of Group members are also Clan members. [spoiler] [b]If this is the currently selected option on August 23, 2017, the following will go into effect:[/b] - The associated Group will be deleted - The forum history and chat history of the Group will be transferred to the Destiny 2 Clan[/spoiler] [b][url=http://bungie.net/en/Help/Article/46081#StayGroup]Option B: Remain a Group[/url][/b] This option is recommended for large communities (100+) where most of the Group members are not also Clan members. [spoiler] [b]If this is the currently selected option on August 23, 2017, the following will go into effect:[/b] - The Clan is deleted - The Clan Roster is removed - The Clan name is reserved to the user that was set as the Clan Founder - The forum and chat history will remain a part of the Group and will not be transferred with the Clan name reservation[/spoiler] [b][url=http://bungie.net/en/Help/Article/46081#DefaultSettings]Default Settings[/url][/b] To help prevent issues that may be caused by absent Group Founders, every Group with an associated Clan will default to one of the two available options based on Clan membership. [spoiler] - [b]Groups with 50% or more of their members in the associated Clan[/b] will default to the [b]"Upgrade to a Destiny 2 Clan" [/b]option which removes the Group and prepares the Clan for the new Destiny 2 Clan features - [b]Groups with less than 50% of the members in the associated Clan[/b] will default to the [b]"Remain a Group"[/b] option which preserves the Group, removes the Clan, and reserves the Clan name to the Clan Founder[/spoiler] [b][url=http://bungie.net/en/Help/Article/46081#ClanName]Clan Name Reservations[/url][/b] For communities that chose to remain as a Group, the associated Clan name will be reserved for future use by the Clan Founder.
