With all the extras available only through patrol, can we please get 6 man patrols?
Edit: as some people have said, Bungie want to push clans and the "team play" aspect, yet we are limited to only 3 in a patrol fireteam.
Edit #2: or make it so when you leave your fireteam you can stay in the area, not boot to orbit.
Edit #3: anyone remember the lead up to HoW? You could launch VoG and go after the Wolves events with a team of 6
Edit #4: maybe a way of joining a clan-mates patrol area without being in a fireteam? Server preference to match into the same patrol?

Hahahaha no

No. There will be no innovation. Don't make us take your emotes again! - - Bungie

I've been asking for this since Vanilla. Would be awesome

Bungie is full of shxt

I know this isn't exactly on topic but kinda related, if the farm can hold up to 28 people will that mean patrol maps can hold 28 as well?
-
I missed year 1, but I'm told they did have 6 man patrols way back then. No 6 man patrols. No 6v6. They, Bungie, say they want us doing more team play, but they keep reducing the team. I don't think Bungie really knows what they want.
-
Find someone else in the area you want your 6 man team to be for a public event or whatever. Message him with what you're trying to do. He invites you into his fireteam, makes you fireteam leader then leaves. You invite 2 more and the team you left invites one to replace you. All of you in chat, you're good to go. Just be careful about leaving areas, you'll wind up on different servers. You can fix that by switching around.

They could implement a heroic patrol that allows 6 man fireteams. Then, patrol would not be too difficult for smaller, more casual teams. I'd love to see that. Real challenges everywhere.
-
I'm wondering with the way things are setup now if you can enter patrol with 3 people and then one person leave the fireteam and stay on the planet... (not be kicked to orbit). If so...that solves everything for me personally as i'll just do that with 2 friends and then have those two friends invite another from our clan while I invite 2 more. BOOM, 6 people in the same patrol (just 2 fireteams).

I'm all for it. The more the merrier, right?

I totally agree with this. There shouldn't be a 3 player limit on patrols. You're just hanging out with your friends exploring and having fun. Why limit that to 3 people? Had the same issue in D1, where we had to leave people behind because of that limitation. That just seems dumb.
-
Six person everything. Strikes, Patrols, Crucible, etc... Except raids. Raids should be 12 people.
-
Honestly, this is a no-brainer, and this is something that can be relatively easy to implement. The whole thing is convincing Bungie to implement it. And by that, I don't mean getting the attention of Deej or Cozmo. You have to get the attention of someone further up the company ladder for them to even think about it, and we all know how stubborn Bungie can be. But I think it's possible, though it'll take a sound and convincing argument to do it. P.S. This is for both 6-man patrol and strikes.

I mentioned an idea about this before. Keep the 3 man fireteam limit, but make it so that the people you are instanced with have different priorities. First: Friends Second: Clan members Third: Everyone else. Now we could take this a step further and say you are both in the same area but different instances. You select them from your friends list and hit join instance. Just one way you could play with your friends even if you're not in the same fireteam.
-
When TTK dropped we would just keep going to orbit and back to the court until we had the number of people that we wanted. It was kind of stupid when your +4th friend wants to join you and has to resort to doing stuff like that.
-
It'd be great but it won't happen. Bungie has catered D2 to the causual player.

Edited by Obi Wan Macaroni: 7/27/2017 7:35:48 AMNo, because the activities will be too easy if 6 players share aggro and deal damage
-
Strike map voting would be kind of nice too
-
4 man strikes too.
-
YES! And also, let there be a higher light version of each patrol. I'd love to see patrol finally be an endgame activity.
-
Patrol teams should be larger for sure, up to 6 players would be great. I think it's incredibly weird how split up they've made activities, strikes/patrol are 3 players, pvp is 4, raids are 6... You'll never be able to play with all your friends at once unless you're raiding, which is a 1-3 times a week (if you raid on all 3 toons). The other thing that annoys me is that, if we can't have larger fireteams in patrol, don't kick us to orbit when we leave a fireteam. It seems stupid to allow a large amount of players in patrol, but not let them party up, and if you can't party up, you'd be hard pressed to get yourself in the same instance. They make things like Court of Oryx and Archons Forge to promote team play and large groups to play together, but I can't party together with these people?? Bungie, you said you're not "hiding the fun" this time around and making it easier, well this is a quality of life thing that's makes it that much more fun. Games are about fun, not arbitrary barriers.
-
Why not at least 4 man patrols, I mean most co-op PVE shooters do 4 players standard so why has Bungie gone the other way with Destiny... when it comes to raids I'd rather they were long missions in huge areas with massive mobs and bosses so that instead of a 6 man thing it would see 10 or 20 or more team up in a onslaught of chaos
-
As much as I would love this implemented its not gonna happen. They even brought the pvp down to 4v4. I hope they do. But they wont.
