Can't have your cake and eat it too.
If you're an average player, every game is sweaty unless you're getting blown out.
Sympathy for those with bad connections and long MM times. None for those who just want to beat up on weaker players.

I haven't seen any feedback from you on the DEMO kellygreen. What's the deal?

Oh its here. My few "drops" are hard to find in the flood of feedback that Bungie's been getting. Quick Summary? Bungie got most of the big things right. The game looks great. The PVE play spaces are huge and they've made good use of the extra power that the current gen consoles give. Story mission? Great....and well desigined. Strike? Played almost like a mini-raid. Problems in PVE? The game is HORRIBLY tuned for PVE play right now. Weapons are underpowered. Offensive abilities like grenades, melee and supers take WAY too long to recharge. The Dawnblade super is underpowered in PVE. Fun as hell....but underpowered. But these are tuning issues that can easily be fixed before launch....and Bungie said in TWAB that they are working on fixing them as we speak. PVP? The changes work well, and 4v4 Control feels fast-paced despite the slower movement speed and the slower TTK. I LOVE the radar changes. They have put flanking back into the game, and allows you to punish people for losing situational awareness or being out of position in ways you couldn't in D1. The emphasis on primary gunplay and mid-range to close range firefights plays right into the strength of my game So I've been putting up some healthy numbers. Including an "Unbroken" game (9-0) against a team that got mercied. IOWs, the skill gap has returned to PVP. Problems in PVP? Some weapons still need some tweaking. SRs and Linear fusions are underpowered. Fusion rifles get too much ammo. (Six round in the hands of a good FR user can be devastating to game. I picked up both power ammos in one game and went on a killing spree that left me feeling a little dirty afterwards....) Super recharge rates are too slow and too uniform. If you don't play well or if a game gets mercied its not rare to go a whole match with no super....and unless you're laying waste to the competition....everyone is going to get their super within a few minutes of one another near the end of the match. So the end of many games just turns into Mayhem. Because of this matches can snowball out of control for losing team really quickly with little to no chance to reverse the momentum or fight your way back into it. Especially if there's a skill mismatch or a full fireteam going up gainst randos. TLDR: All in all Bungie did a lot more right than they did wrong. But it was disappointing to see how badly power levels were tuned on the PVE side of the game. In PVP, that changes that Bungie has made seemed to work well. I'd like TTK to be just a **hair** faster so that the 1v1s are a bit more decisive.....but all in all The Crucible is a much improved experience over D1.
