Why should higher lvl players get to relax sometimes, this is the worst argument I have ever heard. As a avarage or below , as I am.
My games are sweaty with people of my skill lvl.
Then I play good ass people and get stomped.
When do I get to relax... Never ... Why should you?

The way I see it, making quick play connection based would give everybody (even lower skilled players) a place to relax and just enjoy the game. Since you know the game will likely not be balanced and will not affect your skill rating regardless of if you win or lose, you wouldn't need to play your hardest, you could just have fun. If you then wanted to have competitive matches with others who actually are trying to be competitive and win, you could join a competitive match. I think what is being proposed by OP would give everyone a place to relax, and a place to be sweaty.
-
CBMM just increases the pool of higher skilled players when you are at the bottom of the pool or new to the game. By having skill brackets people get to learn gradually without getting shat on by someone making fun of them on twitch. Everyone who pays for the game deserves the right to enjoy themselves, getting shat on is not fun.
-
People still need to enjoy themselves.
-
Finally pvt, someone with a brain
-
because you're just an average joe, duh. op is so good at this game, even during hyper competitive matches, he's earned the right to relax sometimes and stomp you average joes or even to play alongside his own weaker friends. he's just that good (sarcasm)
-
So what you're saying is, bc you're bad at the game you deserved to be sheltered from ppl like me bc i mean you earned that right too huh?
-
your reading comprehension is terrible, dude. yikes
-
What a way to make yourself look like an idiot. I'll break it down for you bc clearly you aren't capable of it yourself. This guy is saying bc he is BAD AT THE GAME he never gets to relax. Also, bc IM GOOD AT THE GAME I should also not be able to relax bc in his eyes that's FAIR. I questioned this by repeating it to him so he could actually notice the insanity he was trying to say. How tf did I comprehend that wrong? I didnt. Exactly. Congratulations on making yourself look like a dumbass

Edited by dnrobs: 7/24/2017 6:05:07 AMYou got connection based mode, it's what you asked for. It won't always be countdown, there's 12 modes.
-
Bungie clearly stated both playlist were SBMM there is no connection based matchmaking
-
That's not what they said. Do you even speak/read English? They pretty clearly said that connection would be given priority but that skill would always remain a factor.
-
Also Galt, you clearly don't understand what CBMM and SBMM are. So instead of questioning if I can read English just stay quiet and keep being a fan boy of bungie bc clearly SBMM is sheltering you
-
I know exactly what I'm talking about. You, unfortunately, are putting your ignorance on display though. Skill has always been a component in match making in Destiny. They increased its relevance when TTK came out and then backed it out some to placate kids who didn't want to face a challenge. No the illiterati blame everything on sbmm because they can't admit that they just got outplayed. You probably complain about not having dedicated servers without knowing what that means as well. You should stop letting all tge salt blind you and actually do a little reading so you know what you're talking about.
-
The one who is salty is you. Why are you so fixated in keeping matchmaking the same. The beta for D2 is the prime example of what I'm talking about. SBMM probably didn't shelter you for a game or two in the beta and your real skill must have come out and it hurt you didn't it you started to call the game trash and proceeded to go into D1 where your life precious SBMM saves you from ever facing a CHALLENGE and puts you against everyone else who is bad at the game
-
Actually I really like the countdown mode in the Beta. I think that abilities need a slightly faster cool down but the rest is good. As far as match making goes I don't want it to stay the same. I want us to be able to choose which pool we want to play in. Some people, regardless of skill level want to play with cbmm. Some prefer sbmm. Why not just have a check box to choose which system you want to play under. Everyone wins. I personally don't see why being able to pubstomp less skilled players is so important to you.
-
I completely agree with you on deciding on having a choice. Pubstomping is not important to me. Why is that always brought up? You lower skilled players always bring that up and I have already told you that it does not happen to you as often as you think. Besides the mercy was implemented so if it did happen it wouldn't happen again. Also you act as if I won't get pubstomped as well. I have the same chance of getting matched against a team of 4 just as much as u guys on CBMM because it's all about connections nothing to do with skill
-
They did not increase its relevance when the TTK came out. When the TTK came out matchmaking was fine I would play with my irl friends who are not that good at the game and it was just fine like y1 but, it was sometime during November December Or somewhat close to that time that SBMM was brought up and was flat out dismissed by bungie but it was blatantly obvious it was in the game until they finally decided to come out and say it was in the game and that they lied to us to test it out .
-
Galt they also said auto rifles were buffed by 0.04 % we all know that was a lie. When we first talked about SBMM and how it was obvious it was put into the game bungie said it wasn't in the game and lied only to reveal they actually did put it into the game
-
I don't remember them denying that sbmm was in the game. They didn't tell us when the buffed it because they wanted to get accurate data on its effects on game play. As I recall, players spent about 2 months complaining about "sweatier" matches before Bungie told us what they did. Then streamers started lying about lag and most of the better players did too so that they could get back to playing less skilled players. The auto rifle thing was a typo. Don't let the salt make you cynical.
-
Oh so you don't remember? Hmmm how convenient. The auto rifle buff was not a typo man how can you seriously believe that. 0.4 % is not a significant difference to change anything either it was so obvious it was a lie and they were never buffing anything. Lag is not the issue here, you keep bringing this up but I have yet to complaint about it. The issue here is that SBMM is too strong and we face nothing but the same ppl over and over again. Only argument I see you guys make is "the top 1% only want to pubstomp" And that's the most ignorant statement made. It is the most rare occurrence that you will face the top 1%
-
There's nothing convenient about not remembering something that never happened. Bungie never lied about buffing sbmm in TTK. They didn't tell us for a couple months but they never denied it. The AR buff was real and it made high rof ars like Arminius D gods for a time.
-
Are you insane. So many videos were made about that buff and how they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Not one damage number went up lmfao. You will deny anything against bungie won't you? It useless to have an argument with someone like you. You're calling me blind but you fail to see your own ignorance and the opposing side of the discussion.
-
Okay. If you say so.
-
I do say so.
-
LOL. When will you relax when you and the other k/d whores have driven everyone else out of pvp. If you weren't obsessed with numbers you could relax against anyone. What you mean by relax is that you want to win without trying. That's pathetic.
