[u]ERRANDS[/u] A wave of Light raged through Echo, travelling higher and higher, closer to his head and... Echo sat up, looking around in the room. The throne room, Echo remembered. Everything was blurry, but after a few seconds that side effect of resurrection went away. Echo saw that Primus Sha'aull had driven Val and Alzer out of cover, and they were driven into a corner. Where's the honor in that, Echo thought as he slowly stood up. A looming rage started to grow within him, and he commenced his walk, his crusade, towards the Primus. Some Legionaries noticed him, but were thrown aside by Echo. The Warlock never slowed down. A Centurion jumped towards him, but was stopped in midair by a Scatter Grenade. Echo didn't even look up. The Primus finally turned around to face him, and started laughing. But that laugh stopped, as he saw Echo grabbing two Psions and desintegrating them with just a single move of his hand. The Primus finally aimed his Projection Rifle and started firing at the lone Guardian. Echo simply jumped in the air, and Blinked, and for a moment, the world around him was standing still. Then Echo came out of the Blink, and landed on the Cabal commander. The Warlock sat on his back, where the Primus could not hit him, and whispered in his ear, in the Cabal language: "I've come to reclaim what is mine... victory! And you? Your journey ends here. You have lost, Primus" Primus Sha'aull simply growled, and tried to shake the Guardian off, but he didn't succeed. Echo formed a Nova Bomb in his two hands, channeling all his anger. He brought his hands to the neck of the Primus, and then released the energy, on the weak spot of the Cabal beast. Echo got thrown away by the following explosion, and hit the ground pretty hard. When he opened his eyes, he saw Primus Sha'aull kneeling, slowly falling to the ground, oil leaking from his armor. Echo knew that he was getting torn apart from the inside and almost felt bad for the Primus. Almost. Validus walked up to him and offered a hand, which Echo gratefully used to stand up. He looked around, and saw that the last of the Legionaries were getting finished off by Alzer. His Necrochasm was burning bright right now, and Echo could've sworn that the flames were spreading a little bit to Alzer. "Come on, let's get out of this place", Validus said, as he pulled Echo with him. "No need to stay here" Echo didn't look back as he exited the throne room, passing through the gate in the back. About half an hour later, when they had stopped again, trying to find out where to go next. Echo was explorinh his surroundings when he found a small monitor. He gestured to the others to come and take a look. When Alzer and Val had reached him, Echo said: "Remember when I said that the Blind Legion probably has their counter-teleportation technology activated?" Validus nodded. "Well they haven't activated it. The Vex could literally just warp in" "Then why aren't they? What are the Vex plotting?" Validus asked, as he suspiciously watched his surroundings. Alzer started walking again, towards yet another hallway. "I don't know, but we've got to keep moving. Let's just hope the Vex don't suddenly change their plan" Echo nodded and followed the other Warlock. Validus checked their back one last time, and then also started running. They passed a long series of windows, which looked out on a big plaza, normally used for exercises. That was not the case now, however. Cabal were shooting at eachother, slaughtering their own kin. Now that Primus Sha'aull was dead, the Blind Legion was falling apart. He noticed that it was mostly Legionaries fighting against their superiors. Echo had been right. The Primus was the only reason that the Blind Legion had still been fighting. Although most of the commanding officers stayed loyal to their code, their soldiers thought otherwise. They didn't want to embark on suicide missions to take Vex relics anymore. The Guardians continued, and when they passed a room with the door open, they were able to see what was happening inside. A Centurion was firing at an enemy, not visible for the Guardians, shouting in Cabal (which Echo could understand) "[i]Mutiny! Cowards! Where is your honor?!? The Emperor will never forgive you this. I sha-"[/i] The Centurion was silenced by a bullet through his skull. A Legionary walked up to him, and kicked the corpse to further show his disrespect. "[i]Where is your Empire now? There's no need for honor now. This is the time of redemption![/i]" He waved his hand to his comrades, and then noticed the three Guardians standing in the doorway. For a few long seconds, he just stood there, staring at them. Then, he turned around and walked away, followed by a few others. He didn't need to fight Guardians anymore. Eventually, the Guardians left as well. After a while, they turned a corner and saw a large closed gate, painted red. Echo tried to open it, but it was locked. Validus came standing next to him. "Is there a problem?" "Yes. It seems to be locked with a heavy mechanical lock, which I can't open with my Light", Echo sighed, as he punched the heavy door. "Perhaps we can open it via the central command room" Echo stepped away from the door. "That won't be necessary. Every important part of the base has a small main room, from where these locks can be disabled. So we need to get someone to manually open this door. Maybe Alzer could-" He was interrupted by Validus, who said: "It is better that I go. A Warlock is more useful to investigate the Conflux" And off he went. Echo yelled at him in the distance: "We're going to blow it up afterwards. You'll miss all the fun!" The Titan shrugged, and kept walking. About fifteen minutes later, an unlocking sound was heard from the gate, and as Echo and Alzer stood up, steam started to come out of the sides. The two Warlocks stood cautiously in front of the door as it slowly started opening.
