I don't usually make these types of threads but I thought this would be an *ahem* entertaining discussion.
So basically if you haven't heard yet earlier today news got out that some CNN producer was caught on video saying the Trump colluding with Russia story was "mostly bulls***", or in other words, fake news. The video can be viewed pretty much anywhere on the internet at this point.
Of course, all the right wing news outlets have lambasted CNN following this revelation and President Trump himself released a tweet concerning the matter, saying that CNN's 'fake news' was responsible for some drop in ratings(which isn't real either).
Up until this point the network has said little regarding the video, but there are reports that they are dropping the story, which they've been actively covering for months now.
What do you guys think of these recent developments? As for me I kinds saw this coming, the story didn't seem all that legit to me.
Updated with link. It was the most recent one I could find.
Update: 3 CNN employees have resigned in the fallout of this debacle, it's reportedly related to a story regarding a presidential advisor having some secret deal with Russia that turned out to be false.

See, your problem is that you are trying to use logic and reason… Democrats don’t work that way. They have given up looking at the world through a logical lens and replaced that with identity politics. They have replaced it with feelings. With who you are and what you are, rather than what you believe. They have decided that your skin color your sexuality and your agenda matters more than the contents of your character.

When will Trump resign given all of the fake news he has been spewing?
-
You mean to tell me the media giants are all propoganda machines and have backed the claim up with hard evidence? It's almost as if I'm not shocked at all.

Edited by AustinSX: 6/28/2017 2:47:03 AMThe "heavy editing" argument cracks me up. Show me an edited or cut off sentence. Tell me what context could have been cut to make it not a big deal that a supervising producer of cnn who has been with them for over 15 years says that: the Russia story is "mostly bullshit" or that Trump is right is call it all a witch hunt or that they actually don't have any proof but its good for ratings or that their CEO told them to go back to the Russia story because that's whats better for ratings Or that if they had scrutinized Obama like they do Trump they would've been seen as attacking him

Van Jones called it a "nothing burger." Maybe that's how he keeps his trim physique.

James O'Keefe has a long history of "selectively editing" people to create a false impressions of what actually took place during conversations. He is not a journalist. Hes someone who deliberately -blam!-s over people in order to propogate his own political views. Bottomline about Trump and Russia? People with nothing to hide, hide nothing....and Trump by his own admission is going to a great deal of trouble to keep his finances and his campaign's dealings with Russia HIDDEN. Add to that his seeming lack of any sense of curiosity or urgency when our ENTIRE INTELLIGENCE and national security infrastructure is saying that Russia interfered into the 2016 election....when he was saying the whole time that the "Election was rigged"....is very, very curious. Bottomline, anyone with half a working brain ignores anything from O'Keefe. He's a partisan hack with no regard for the truth....or other people.

Here is going to be the interesting thing, this is only part 1. Project Veritas has been dropping hints in their videos lately that they have infiltrated all, or at least many, mainstream media outlets and are planning on releasing more. I also love the mental breakdowns and gymnastics the typical leftists on this site are going through below as they have been pushing these stories constantly for months because of their Trump derangement syndrome. Imagine if this was about Fox news there would be uproars from these users but if its their media its, "fake news" or "his opinion" or "but but Trump." And they will quietly slip away as this story dies and simply pick up on the next set of lies that come out from these companies and push them for months. The fact of the matter remains that media are not sources of information but rather sources of propaganda. All mainstream, and yes i mean all, media follows the same procedures, lie, lie often, and get ratings. Every single story for the past year and a half has come from hearsay, "anonymous sources" that likely don't even exist, and the opinions of others. And yet people still can't tell what media is about? Seriously? This is why getting news is actually hard. When you read an article or information you have to keep in mind 3 things to determine if its good enough to believe. You have to see, who said it, why did they say it, and how did they say it. If an article is quoting hearsay or anonymous sources you should instantly be skeptical. If an article uses generalizations or partial quotes they are likely pushing something or leaving out the reality of something. If a story comes out but no hard evidence is found or even presented in the story then its likely attempting to gather attention. This should be common knowledge in American minds but it is not. They dont even bother to read the first line of a story let alone a single paragraph, and often only read the title. Half of the stories that have come out in the past year or two are bogus or based on shaky information at best. And if you still think the media are saints who have "integrity" you should watch these and realize that these lies have been going on for years. Media faking news: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WtAxjkS3zcg How easily things can be faked: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2yFQqDsk_LM Fake bombing in Afghanistan that media produced to push agenda: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CRZyHUr9YWM Staging fake "peaceful protest" to support muslims after London attacks: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LXZzwwUVpWk Man gets on news posing as someone else: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7laZU-yKh04 (This guy has done it to every mainstream media channel posing as political figures, policemen, soldiers, bystanders, witness to a crime, etc. All he does is call in, claim he is someone, says he has a statement then talks about Howard Stern's ass on national TV. Which only proves that they do not vet their sources, they do not care to prove that someone is who they say they are and someone with a phone can pose as anyone and the media will just run with it.) Fox news commentator named Joseph A Cafasso was caught lying about his credentials as a military member. Yet for four months Fox used him and never once checked his credentials. (No video on this look it up) And there is so much more. But i will leave it at that. Let me know what you think.

Trump lies and people follow his example. Then when he does not want something to land on his foot. He tries to suppress it. While i do agree somethings might be fake you need to learn judgement in knowing what is being suppressed and what is fake. This would be alleviated if people could understand what is being said how it is being said and the direction it is going. Reading Comprehension apparently is slipping from proper education. Sadly you might know how to read but can you understand what you are reading? Most sadly are not able to make that distinction. Lets face it people want to be told and they mostly have short attention spans. So the person who presents them with what they think they want the majority will listen to. Basic Propaganda as so few people actually understand what that is.
