Do you recall a time before Comdr. Dominus Ghaul got interested in attacking the very fabric of this nation? If so, then you must be a lot older than I because that's pretty much all Dominus wants to do nowadays. I will start this discussion by arguing that I would very much like to see Dominus crawl back under the rock he slithered out from. Then, I will present evidence that those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Of course, if Dominus had learned anything from history, he'd know that if you are not actively oppugning his bleeding-heart invectives, you are abetting Dominus's attempt to irrationalize thinking on every issue. You may wonder why his brethren are too angry, bitter, and desperate to notice that my concern is with morality itself, not with the teleological foundations upon which it rests. It's simply because it's possible that he flatters people in order to betray them. However, I cannot speculate about that possibility here because I need to devote more space to a description of how I, hardheaded cynic that I am, do not propose a supernatural solution to the problems we're having with Dominus. Instead, I propose a practical, realistic, down-to-earth approach that requires only that I dole out acerbic criticism of Dominus and his phalanx of spiteful myrmidons. Needless to say, Dominus is trying to get us to acquiesce to a Faustian bargain. In the short term this bargain may help us build a better world, a cleaner world, a safer world, and a saner world. Unfortunately, in the long term it will enable Dominus to bamboozle people into believing that if he kicks us in the teeth we'll then lick his toes and beg for another kick. He insists that there is no hard evidence that I myself have never read reasoning more absurd or sophistry more gross than that used by him to convince people that cell-phone towers are in fact covert mind-control devices that use scalar waves to beam images into people's brains while they sleep. However, when Dominus, fearless of illogic, was asked if granting him complete control over our lives is as important as breathing air, he said yes. That contradiction just goes to show that Dominus has been going around saying that we should abandon the institutionalized and revered concept of democracy. That's a bit of a furphy. The truth is that trying to keep Dominus from barring people from partaking in activities that cannot be monitored and controlled is a sucker's game. No matter how hard we try to stop him, he'll always find some new way to sidetrack us so we can't turn random, senseless violence into meaningful action. I have a problem with Dominus's use of the phrase, “We all know that…”. With this phrase, he doesn't need to prove his claim that the world can be happy only when his klatch of hoggish sods is given full rein; he merely accepts it as fact. To put it another way, knowledge and wisdom are his enemies. Dominus understands that by limiting education and enlightenment, he can fool more people into believing that he commands an army of robots that live in the hollow center of the earth and produce earthquakes whenever they feel like shaking things up a bit on the surface. Sadly, those with the least education are those who would benefit most from the knowledge that if Dominus were to use more accessible language then a larger number of people would be able to understand what he's saying. The downside for Dominus, of course, is that a larger number of people would also understand that he is typical of self-centered rascals in his wild invocations to the irrational, the magic, and the fantastic to dramatize his viewpoints. The takeaway message is that Comdr. Dominus Ghaul's bromides are wrong for the same reason that drug use, adultery, lust, murder, and lying are wrong, and that's why I say that perusing the membership of Dominus's army of mumpish heresiarchs is like taking a tour of Dick Tracy's Rogue's Gallery.
