The Harmonic Pitch Analogy and how it relates to skepticism around Destiny 2.

Why do the people who are defending Destiny 2 feel threatened by people who are skeptical of this game? Is it because you, yourself, have a little bit of skepticism and you feel like those who are voicing the skepticism are triggering this in you, too? "The harmonic pitch analogy" functions like this: If there are 2 acoustic guitars in a room together and you pluck the E string on one guitar, the other guitar's E string will vibrate a little, in sympathy, with the original sound. I think thats whats happening here: even the people that are cheerleading this game are secretly a little skeptical and they don't like that a majority of people on these forums are voicing their skepticism. They don't like the feeling that this game might be a little flatter than they hoped for. I had some pretty realistic expectations for this game that are not being met. And i'm not butthurt about it, but i am skeptical. So i am seeing a lot of scrambling, attacking and general deflection. I am seeing people trying to argue logical things against emotional things and emotional things against logical things. I am seeing people being offended by other people's preference, which is pretty weird to me. For the people that are hyped for this game: why is it important for you to have other people be hyped about this game too? And do you feel as if the general skepticism is effecting your perception? For the record, i have no problem with you being hype for the game. I wish i was hyped for it, but i'm not. I'm just trying to figure out why people feel threatened by the people that aren't hype, because the behavior of a lot of these threads suggest that the Harmonic Pitch Analogy is at play here. If you are secure in your excitement for this game, do you need to convince anyone else that its worth getting hype for?
