Petition For Bungie to consider adding an "optional" mode in the Beta with lower Resolution/effects,higher Frame rate on consoles and then check the feed back

it would be an Option.if you dont like, dont do it. it doesnt need to make it to the final game. it could be an experiment. Beta is the last chance for a test. even if it didnt work at all, nobody's gonna be super mad because it was temporary option the Beta for 10days or so. in that case just dont put it in the final full game. if it worked though, Bungie would have more time to possibly optimize it for the release or it could happen even after with next updates. I dont see anybody getting hurt here Now I know Bungie has high quality standards, which is a good thing, thats what make them Bungie right? and I know this is a short notice(the Beta is probably due 17-07-17)this could take some resources and energy form Bungie but I think its worth a shot.even something not so polished just for the beta possible in game implementaion an option in the settings menu like "game mode/image mode" or something. when turned on,most likely a game reboot is needed since destinyt doenst have a main menu and is log in, load in. it would be like when ur signing out and signing in again. If this was ever a thing, I would personally use 1080p or 4k for my first campaign playthrough. I'd rather enjoy more detailed sharper views in PVE specially for the first time. then after a while and mostly in PVP where u naturally/unintentionally don't pay much attention to the details, I would go for a smoother, more responsive experience while gladly sacrificing some sharper edges along the way. in fact i think achieving higher Frame rate could be easier in pvp(where it is more needed). theres less cpu load and physics there. just 8 players at most. no AI. no physics for enemy weapons,no crazy huge draw distances and rendering,... now Im not a tech expert. Im just sharing my general vision and spitting out everything so maybe sth comes out of it. its better for actual experts to come up with better ideas.and finally up to developers to decide. * goal: the frame rate is the priority in this mode obviously. 60 FPs is ideal. Uncapped FPS(variable between 30to60 on consoles) is another option. but not all people like that and Im not sure if it meets Bungie's Standards. worst case scernario, if 60FPs is too much though, could a capped 45Hz refresh rate be better than 30? at least the servers tick rate could upgrade to 45 some day potentially... Im not sure though havnt ever seen a game like that.just checking all the options on the table * Resolution: it should be less than native 1080p thats for sure. there are a wide range of choices between 720p (lowest) and native 1080p.also there's dynamic scaling resolutin, an upscaled resoloutions or checkerboarding so we have 720p or 792p, 828p, 900p(940p or 972p) or there are different 1080s,...choosing one of these and lowering some other image quality settings could lead to higher frame rates maybe. * other settings and effects I was thinking of rather small changes to image quality if it helps. filters and post processing. like anti aliasing or motion blur. maybe even slightly less shadow quality or things like that. the stuff that would help achieving higher frames but not change how the game looks drastically.like less sharper edges also I saw this at this week at Bungie: "We've invested heavily in new server infrastructure for Destiny 2, including using cloud servers for gameplay for the first time." not sure what they mean exactly. again just checking all possible ways. couldnt Bungie use the Cloud servers for some processing stuff? I mean its an always connected game anyways. we've seen a glimpse of using cloud for physics in Crackdown 3. or the Division. also in Digital Foundry's video they expalin that its possible to have the servers do some CPU's stuff if they had dedicated servers.(which now we know they have after yesterday's TWAB) now Im not looking for some low quality shit result and I know this would take a lot of time and resources if not aimed at first place in the development. So all in all, maybe a 720p@60/uncapped FPS for regular ps4/xbox in the beta? 900p+less image quality filters for Ps4 pro maybe? this shouldnt probably take much time for devs and then they could work on optimization for later if needed maybe like Dynamic resolution and,.. some other facts if you are interested: * Destiny 1 was 900p 30FPs on xbox 1 in the beginning. it got to 1080p after patch * if there isnt a 30+ FPS mode on regular PS4/Xbox1 there wont most likely ever be a 60FPS mode on PS4 Pro/Xbox Scorpio * if there isnt a 30+ FPS mode on regular PS4/Xbox, the servers' tickrate will never be above 30 for Destiny2. most likely for PC as well(becasue its Bungie's servers on PC too not blizzard's) that means the dejavu of trades, getting shot through the wall,... * as everybody knows, other game have done this before.like Rise of Tomb raider on PS4 Pro but there is an interesting 3rd person action game called Nioh which does the same on regular PS4.you can choose from three modes: locked 60 FPs 720p resolution(its higher on Pro). variable frame rate(30-60)dynamic resolution. or 1080 with better antialiasing,... locked 30FPs. * a lot of game developers give priority to higher FPS ratehr than REsolution specially in PVP. for example: all fighting games. KI on xbox one is 720p but 60 FPS(and u wouldnt probably even notice) EA and Dice studio's games like BF4, Starwars BAttlefront, are 900p on PS4 and 720p on xbox! yeah the developers preffered to go for 720 60FPS by default over 1080p whatever. Unchaerted 4 pvp and COD Black Ops 3 multiplayer on xbox. with lower or Dynamic resolution to maintain 60FPs. TLDR: 3months until Destuny 2 release. the adventure in D2 is most likely gonna take us at least 1 year. with 30FPs on regular Ps4/xbox1 it means, we most likely wont get the magical touch of 60FPs on Pro/Xbox Scorpio either. also the game servers tickrate won't go above 30(most liklely on PC as well)that means the dejavu of trades in pvp and getting shot through the wall,... 1080p 60FPs isnt possible on consoles but with the beta we might have the chance to try something. I mean Beta is about testing after all right?as other games have done before, an option for those who care about frames and want to stay on consoles. .based on the feed back, the results and their resources/situation, Bungie can decide what to do next. now I know it's a short notice and it would be a really tough job for Bungie to try this for the Beta given it hasnt been planned since earlier in development and bungie being busy with other stuff, but even just considering this would be much appreciated as I think the beta would be a good place for at least a test.if it takes too much time and effort for a descent option,I'd personally fine with even a flat 720p(maybe 900p for PS4 Pro) @ 60/uncapped FPS option as a test in the Beta just to see how it plays.
