European Bungie Store
Dear Bungie,
Please consider opening a European based store, or distribution centre.
I think many may be discouraged from purchasing from the Bungie store because it is based in the US.
Personally, I have not purchased items before because of this reason.
However, when Age of Triumph rolled around I decided I would cough-up and get the t-shirt!
Whilst I was there I also fancied getting some of the class logo pin badges.
So annoyance number 1 is that you can't order other items at the same time as the t-shirt.
Thus I had to make two orders, and pay postage twice.
I would have been more than happy to wait however long to receive them in a single parcel.
I almost aborted the whole order here just because of this.
Annoyance number 2 is that, because they are shipped from the US, I've received a card through the door as I have to pay customs duty and the Royal Mail handling fee. I assume this is for the pin badges because they were shipped first. But the customs charge and handling fee comes to about 25% of what I paid in the first place.
I can only assume that the same will happen when my t-shirt gets here too.
Except if they were in the same parcel I would have been charged once.
And if they had come from the EU or UK I wouldn't have been charged at all.
And they would have got here quicker.

Agreed. Same thing for bungie.net website. Terrible latency. Move everything to EU already!

1 ReplyEdited by UFSman: 6/1/2017 9:36:54 AMYou do realise that number 2 is not their fault that is cause the British government thinks you should pay them tax on anything you import cause they want their money for their fat pockets it would be the same if you lived in the USA and imported from Mexico etc. Sometimes you can get away with out paying it but every so often they will catch you and slap you a customs and handling fee I used to get this every so often when ordering anime which you can't get in England from USA. Yes us fans wouldn't mine a disbursement centre for bungie fans here in England but that means bungie would when you if to pay two countries taxes on running a company etc and hire people to run the centre and bungie is unlikely to do that cause they wouldn't see the profit in it so the amount of order they get. Also they would still if to pay import tax on getting their goods delivered to that centre. Loads of companies do completion online like namco bandai but if you read the terms and conditions they say we can only give prizes to people living in the us etc so even though you can enter from anywhere in the world only people in the us get prizes. That is unfortunately how the world works.
