What is your vision of a perfect Destiny 2 ?

Hey guys! How would you make Destiny 2? The forums are full of talk about Destiny 2. This got me thinking, not about what Destiny 2 was really going to be like, but how I would have wanted it to be like. I’m curious to see what you guys would do also. Leave a comment below with how YOU would have made Destiny 2. Here is what I would have wanted. [i]*Takes in a large breath. [/i] [b]I want 100,000 unique weapons[/b] - I want every item to roll random stats and stat modifiers. This should be much more random and complex than what we have now. - I want weapon damage to be a random variable that rolls within a predetermined range. - I want weapon perks to also have random variables within a predetermined range. Like maybe the outlaw perk can spawn with anywhere from 12-25% increased reload speed. Make the same true for all perks! - I want more perks. Like hundreds more. Sure, you can have those same forty perks that spawn all the time but I want all kinds of other strange perks too. - I want the same exotic weapon to be a little different each time it drops. Sure, you get the guaranteed exotic perk, but I want some to have better damage or perk rolls and for some to have bad rolls. [b]I want a HUGE skill tree[/b] - I want our skill trees to be so big that we have near limitless combinations to play around with. - I want more skills that interact with each-other. I want skills that stack and/or create loops of interactions. - I want my skill tree decisions to matter a LOT in how my character plays. - I want to put skill points into the same skill on the tree multipule times to increase it’s effectiveness. - I don’t want people to already know everything about me because they know that I’m this or that subclass. - I want subclasses of my subclasses of my subclasses for super deep customization. - I don’t think we should be able to respec our skills for free all the time. Skill trees matter little when you can change it around at every whim. This has to stop. Put some type of cost with changing your skill tree. [b]I want more diversity and more perks on my armor.[/b] - We need way more perks on our armor. I wanna see stuff like +10HP and +10%HP and +2% super regeneration speed. I also want stuff like +5% grenade regeneration speed and +1% rate of fire with scout rifles. That sort of thing, we just need more more more! - I want the variables on these perks to be randomly generated within a predetermined range just like the weapons. - I want every item to have a chance to have a godly roll. Then, if you stack your skills, weapons and armor with a common theme and hunt for the best rolls you can become OP. [b]I want a LONG leveling experience[/b] - I’m not saying I want a long loot grind, I want that too, but what I’m talking about here is the actual leveling processes. Like getting new skills and more stat points. - It should take a least 3 months for 15% of the community to reach max level. - I want to be focused on how much XP that I am earning because of that next skill in my skill tree. - I want to have to stop playing the main story and do side quests to increase my level because my current level isn’t high enough to start the next main story mission. [b]I want the crucible to be completely separate.[/b] - I don’t want any of the crazy broke combos and god rolls from PVE in crucible at all. - I want PVP specific loot that is perfectly balanced and tweakable without affecting the rest of the game. - I want loadouts, I want to make them AND I want some made for me. So that, I can just choose from a premade loadout if I don’t have anything good of my own yet. - I want weapons on the map halo style. I want my team to fight the other team for control of the weapon spawns. [b] I want the World to be huge, and I want to be in the world the entire time.[/b] - No directory, just get rid of it. I think it sucks. - I always want my feet on the ground or my ass in the seat of my vehicle. - I don’t want to be able to teleport wherever I want whenever I want. - I want to have-to travel to each destination myself no more autopilot anything. Keyword have-to because I don’t want there to be another option. - Make the endgame content include better faster sparrows/ships, m - Have an item with a 30min cooldown that can take you back to the main town or something. [b]I want the raids to be longer and harder and require more people[/b] - I want big team raids, like +18 people maybe split up into 3 teams of 6. - I want the raids to start off easy enough for anyone to enjoy but scale up to a final boss that only around 5% of the community can defeat in the first six months of the game. - I don’t want raids to reset weekly. I think you should be able to run it as much as you want. The catch being it takes so long to finish that nobody could actually do it more than once or twice in a week. [b]I want MORE![/b] - I want more Raids. Like 4 at launch and 8 more than that by the end of year 2. - I want more Strikes. I want a minimum of 25 strikes at launch, more would be even better. I never want to see the same strike twice if I’m running the strike playlist for 2 hours. - I want more fully voice acted story. Like 18 hours of cinematics and a main campaign that takes 40-50 hours to complete. - I want more… everything! - I’m going to leave it at that for now I have way more, but going to hold off and see if this post gathers any attention before I waste any more time on it. [b]Please comment below. In a perfect world, what would you want?[/b] I’ll be happy to give feedback

  • Parallel paths for progression You can do most quests by either pvp or pve. Bungie doesn't force players who don't play pvp into pvp to pad out the game (and the same for players who only like pvp) Of course, there will be some exceptions. If there is a D2 version of the mountaintop then you you can't do that by pve, but for the Moments of Triumph you could have completed a pve quest to get an achievement instead

    • I want more skill tree options and your classes and subclasses to feel more different. Let’s be honest people all off the stats on all of the characters are the same! Who here has played an RPG? Since when does the Tank <Titan> get to be the fastest character (titan skating), with the highest jump?.... Since when does a Tank, <Titan> and what should be a DPS character <Hunter/Warlock> have nearly the same HP? Since when does a Tank, <Titan> and what should be your DPS characters have the same damage output? I think anyone that has played an RPG, or D&D would agree that this is how it should be. Titan <Paladin/Warrior type> takes asinine amounts of damage deals damage also but not a lot. With skills that allow him to control agro. Force enemies to attack him or run away from him. Warlock <DPS> Deals asinine amounts of damage, but has cast times, or has to set up to perform certain skills. Slows, disorients, freezes, drains life, heals allies, Hunter <Ranger> does everything listed above, but not nearly as well as everyone else. More diversity, major complexity, lots of options. I want raid gear that has set bonuses, and I want them to mirror the subclasses. I also want exotics to be more exotic, and I want to wear all the exotics if I want to. I want to Run Celestial Nighthawk, with Crest of Alpha Lupi, Sealed Ahamkara Grasps, and Radiant Dance Machines if I want to! Or……. Light Beyond Nemesis, with Claws of Ahamkara, Heart of the Praxic Fire, and Transive Steps! Or….. Helm of Saint 14, with Ruin Wings, Twilight Garrison, and Dunemarchers! Why because I freaking have them that’s why. And because Exotics should drop so rarely that when you run into that guy who has been playing since year one (like me), and he’s got Exotic gear head to toe, you’re like….. “damn look at that badass!”

      • No please no. Stop putting costs on skill tree changes. That's so oldschool. It takes ages to train a deep skill tree and if you make mistakes you have to do it all over again. Just no. I really love the flexibility changing skills brings. It endorses to try different methods to tackle a problem.

        • Flying sequences, heavy focus on PvE, pvp and pve separate, no trials gear outside of trials, no sniper rifles or fusion rifles in pvp other than IB and trials. A rank system in pvp so everyone only faces people their own skill level so high level players can't come harass everyone else when they're bored. Incentives for clans and others to help out noobs on raids. More of an MMO/rpg pve experience to bring the game on par with WOW or Final Fantasy 14.

            • If (huge IF) I were the one to make the game... The obvious starting point for me would be where they placed much blame in from Vanilla-ROI: New engine, designed from the ground up. That or sucking it up & purchasing the license to use Unreal 3/4/712 whatever version they're on now... or something similar. Anything to get rid of the last-gen garbage engine that takes them days to make changes...

                It's sad that you have to go that ridiculous to make your point. If you can't make your point using actual arguments against the game, then you don't need to be making any points. The criticisms out there are valid. Destiny 2 is looking more and more like Destiny [i]with a few tweaks[/i]. But those tweaks aren't to the actual issues with the game. Making an announcement that they are slightly changing their servers from destiny and then saying it may not fix the problem in the same article [b] should[/b] be a red flag to people, but no, the forums are full of posts about "See Destiny 2s servers will be amazing" Oh yea, I forgot to mention the fact that the new subclasses have the SAME "skill tree" as the subclass they replaced....
