So I played Slayer pro on reach. Frickin fun as balls.

Radar is cool. I like using it to bait sweaty weenies into trying to go for a Ninja and then ruining their day regardless.
-
I like the halo radar, and I HATE the Destiny radar. I really don't like radars that don't let you be able to disapear off of them.
-
Nobody ever votes for Slayer Pro. I guess they're scared.
-
Better.
-
It's not called pvp outside of mmos
-
It depends. If 343 chooses to keep sprinting for Halo 6 then I think the radar should either be taken out or only show people while they are sprinting, shooting, and using abilities. It they go back to Halo 2 and 3 style then I think it should stay. It had a short enough range in Halo 5 that it wasn't a crutch and was really only useful for verticality. 343 said they are looking into all these changes for Halo 6 so I have faith that they will make the right decision.

I prerer no radar. I still don't know if crouching around and then initiating a jump pings you. Does it ping you once you land? I hate how restricting the radar can make you feel at times though. In other ways, I do also like it. But then on some halo games, you'll notice your eyes watch the radar way more than looking at the rest of the screen. Also, spartan charge sorta kills the damn game for me sometimes. With or without radar, that damn ability can be initiated too shortly after a few steps. I think h5 tried this new radar mode right? Where walking speed doesn't ping you? I liked that a lot.
-
Doesn't ruin anything imo. I feel like its just useful to tell you if someone's behind you. In the game modes I play I hardly use it because we're to far away from each other.
-
If I could care less, then I probably have an opinion, in which case I should answer one of the first two poll options anyway?

I find that radars greatly take away from most pvp games, it stops those who are good at maneuvering around the enemy from being rewarded for their skill, and rewards campers who just sit in corners crouched waiting for people to pass by. It also makes it so that most people have at least part of their attention on it at all times rather than just concentrating on what is in front of them. If you play any match without a radar it becomes very easy to see how much people rely on them (they become significantly worse at the game). I find that radars lower peoples general skill level, and especially their reaction time to things right in front of them, it also makes t so that many of them neglect the simple little sounds that can tell you if someone is above, below, or behind you. When me and my friends do private matches we never use radar and it is so much better, it frees you up to do flanking far more, and makes it so that your concentration is more on what you see in front of you and what you hear rather than a tinny corner of your screen. There is a reason that playlist like the MLG playlist in halo has radar off, it takes more skill, faster reaction time, and simply makes for more skilled players.

Swat. Jesus it's fast paced... well most matches are and can be so tense cuz just one round in the right place will instakill, even from allies... and because there's no radar and you can't tell where anyone is just makes it more tense...
-
Depends. FFA is worse without the motion tracker.
-
Idk. Motion Tracker is one of the things that sets halo apart from other games. I find it's really good to have in most gamemodes, specifically because it helps you find enemies and this begin engagements soonest. It also helps you to be firing at an enemy at the moment you see each other, rather than one player always getting off the first shots because they saw you first. Though no radar does work good for the smaller gamemodes, especially with objectives. I certainly wouldn't want it in BTB or regular 4v4 though.
-
In classic Halo, no radar is better. In Halo 5, though, the new radar in the updated HCS settings is the best option.
-
Halo 5 has basically no radar as is
-
Favorite match type is SWAT. Of course I dislike the radars.
-
With my playstyle no radar would be better. On the other hand most players don't seem to bother looking at it and it can come in handy when trying to trick and outplay an enemy.
-
It makes it worse. The radar in Halo is almost like having a wall hack. You can see the exact location of enemies close to you
-
Everything is better without radar. Radar feels cheaty imo...
