So it surprises me that when people start the discussion of what they would like for D2, hardly anyone (that I've seen) says, "Hey, let us program the d pad so that we can pop heavy synths during the heat of combat" or "give us in game loadouts like COD that can be selected during respawns". It's SO damned clunky to have to start, wait for your inventory to load into the GUI, then select your item...all the while your screen has a flashing red border that means while you're doing something that's crucial to your contribution to your fireteam, you're getting your ass kicked. That's what I'd like to see most of all; faster equipment swaps and consumption of buffs via a simple button press.
Edit: Thanks to everyone who has replied with constructive input and counterpoints. Mostly, though, thanks to everyone for keeping it civil.

It will be available if you pay for silver

Everyone's too busy crying about servers, frame rates, & grimoire to provide useful feedback.
-
i -blam!-ing knew PvP players played CoD, this is the reason this game went down the shitter as "Call of Destiny"

I bet I'll be able to map all of that with keybindings when I move to PC. 😎⌨🖱

Edited by Grasp of Malok: 5/26/2017 5:20:34 AMHold dowd on d pad- press either of the 4 bumpers/triggers for emotes Hold left- any 4 kind of assigned consumables by pressing any of the bumpers/triggers Hold right- 4 assigned loadouts with bumpers/ triggers Up on the d-pad could highlight players that you aim at while Lb/L1 can be the B, B abilities for each subclass. (This is assuming you're using the default CoD style control layout.(WTF is that control layout again?) Rt/R2- shoot. Lt/L2- ADS. RB/R1-grenade. LB/L1- class ability. But NOPE! To complicated! Just smash your wallet through the screen!

Putting realism aside for one moment, in the heat of the battle would you really stop and change a load out to suit the situation. I firmly believe that before each fight you should decide. Having said that it would be nice if there was at least an in game radial menu or anything that prevents you from having to go into the menu. Something similar to Mass Effect andromeda would be a good idea.

No, pretty much everyone is too busy posting yet another thread about servers or fps.

"There can be only One!"
-
YOU SAY IM CRAZY BUT YOU DONT THINK I KNOW WHAT YOUVE DONE BUT WHEN YOU CALL ME BABY I KNOW IM NOT THE ONLY ONE

Get out of here with that Sam Smith garbage
-
One day every game is going to be the same
that's all I'm going to say
-
I was hoping for sam smith... Left dissapointed
-
I actually do not think any of this will even be a thing in the next game. We may not even have synths. It looks like you can swap weapons quickly and you don't lose ammo for your energy weapon when you swap. These things alone negate the need for preset synth popping and weapon swapping.

Edited by Henny God: 5/24/2017 3:36:21 PMSimple solution: use the same button to pull out ghost. Once ghost is out, have the d pad be used for selection. You could sync 4 consumables. Bam!
-
The only way I'd want to be able to simply press a button for ammo is if there was an animation that left you vulnerable while you're ammo "synthesized." You couldn't move from whatever spot you were in while this happens. Having to hop into your menu mid-encounter for ammo is one of the few times spontaneous communication is needed in PvE...I'd hate to see that go away.

Tap d pad for emo/dance hold in for ammo.
-
Simply add this to the list of shit that's not in the game and hopefully(never) Bungie will look at it. Or they'll just send Cozmo as a lap-dog with vague comments that isn't a clear answer.

It's been one of the biggest forum requests since launch
-
This would be awesome
-
I've seen the D pad one and asked for it myself. As far as loadout, id just like to see an organized vault so I can easily have my raid set up to transfer quickly or subclass preferences at the ready. Instead of 3rd party hunt and peck.
-
I don't know about the cod thing, I don't like that, but the the d-pad for heavy ammo would be cool and useful.
-
Neat idea, it should definitely be implemented in some way, some how, and some time in destiny 2.
-
I agree. 3 arrows should be mapped to quickly use an item. Hold down the 4th arrow to select a variety of held emotes. Done.
-
God I've been saying that for so long!!! I can totally live without dances but the menu takes way too long to load and hot keys would be so much more useful and practical

Edited by GTLargo21: 5/25/2017 3:33:25 PMAlong those lines, me and some friends agree it would be awesome to be able to toss a synth to a member of your fireteam between raid encounters when they run out. The number of times we've waited for someone to go buy synth at the tower is to damn high.
Tbf it was always more of a problem in year 1.
