Did any one see any evidence of strike scoring inside all the gameplay reveal videos that have gone up? I also saw via interview that Trials, Private matches (customs) Sparrow racing will not be available at launch. It seems everything that Destiny 1 had, or eventually had over time- will now be rolled back and then re-released to us in time to save content droughts. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Other than basically doing everything again, to fill out new vaults with new gear and more or less "mirror" what we have already done these past few years again. Seems abit bland. The fact that Destiny 2 has now cut ties with Xbox 360 and PS3 platforms, and going forward seems to rely on the same gameplay and levelling/loot grind (of which most people are now addicted over being addicted to the actual gameplay and narrative property itself) kinda leaves me feeling a little underwhelmed. Do I spend the next 2-3 years re-doing the past 3 years to end up in a similar situation between Destiny 2 and 3? Or do I accept the fun I had at the start of this franchise's first outing and then either do it all again, with re skins and more story (even tho a lot of what's been shown pales in the amount of lore given in the current grimoire everyone was just too lazy to read. It's hard to not feel like I'm being sold tickets to the same ride here. And yeah, we are all familiar with what Destiny is now. But there was nothing groundbreaking in this reveal, and the fact current elements within Destiny one, won't be going forward into Destiny 2 at launch that makes me think, we are all just addicted to the content drip Bungie will now slowly feed us. Until we decide to get off. Though I will pay respect for the clan/solo play matching system. Bungie have created something neat there- meeting the demand for matchmade raids in a sense while also making sure people communicate- i would bet other companies will take note of this system being implemented into D2 and if it works, will copy / paste it into their respective franchises. Realistically, this "story" we are being sold. I assume we will all be back in the towers social space by the end of day one. Our addiction and ability to blitz content for Destiny shows this- clearly. Back in D1 we weren't paying attention to the story because we were too busy learning our subclasses, checking out weapon perks and keeping up with the light level of our friends lists. All the cgi cutscenes in the world won't change that.

  • I went into Destiny, expecting a ten year continuation of my character. Not resetting it per numerical expansion to the series. My character on WoW has existed since 2005 and continues to grow witch each upgrade to their engine and looting and levelling and patching and expansion. Will Destiny 2 be it now, or will we be in the same boat come Destiny 3 when the Vex take the tower or something. This I need to know
