This is for those that want to play the game but can't afford to keep up-to-date with the DLC. In vanilla destiny, we were given access to the Nightfalls and weeklies constantly, this give us the opportunity to push ourselves, to be better and a chance at exotic loot. When the 1st DLC dropped, the dark below, everything changed. Those that could afford the DLC or had the season pass could continue playing with no impact on their gameplay. The others tho, who couldn't afford for the DLC due to life then started to lose out. The first nightfall of the dark below locked out players who never had it, bungie said they were applying a rotation through new and old so all players could enjoy them, but the damage was done. We lost players that day stating "they wouldn't be coerced into buying new DLC to get access to content they already had before." Personally I'm hyped for the game, can't wait but if the player Base is gonna get locked out of content they already had for not paying extra for DLC then I'll have to skip it. Not a good business model. Suggestion: to help with this they could add a choice on the nightfall and weeklies with each added expansion but still limit players to one completion/reward per week. Vanilla players could get the standard nightfall and weeklies with vanilla loot drops. Players with the expansions would get the choice of the vanilla nightfall with vanilla loot or access to the expansion nightfall with the increased loot pool of all items up to that point. This would allow players even at the end of the first year to go back and farm for an exotic from the vanilla that they missed out on without the larger loot pools.
