PvP and 4v4
In the reveal today a big topic was how Destiny has brought so many people together. Which is true, i have made a ton of friends on this game and honestly, i have never loved a game like I love Destiny. But... the issue I have is that in all this time spent on Destiny with my 6 man/gal fireteams for raids or whatever.. we could all go and play some pvp without any issue. Now with 4v4 only? Ugh that sort of splits up my awesome groups and leaves people hanging or us play with a random. Which sort or defeats the purpose?
I have also seen a lot people suggesting this was made in a effort to help with lag. Well.. I always experienced that the worst with trials and that's 3v3 but if you want to help with lag I think we know what would really help that. But please..
Dont make us split up our fireteam to play PvP.
That would be a serious bummer for most players.

1 ReplyLet's do this... let's all give the beta a whirl and then make suggestions to bungie in adding a 8v8 game mode like BTB and have the other Playlist use 4v4s only. My God I think I'm actually on to something 😲😲😲

This has been pissing me off, totally agree .. a game bragging how it's designed to bring people together and make you friends has been systematically designed to do two things Break up 6 man squads in existence and force us into the new guided games things cos 4 man squads will become the new norn

Especially considering fireteams are still 3(presumably). If anything, they should have: • Created a new Guardian Class(and a 4th character slot). • Implemented 4-man fireteams • 4v4 and 8v8 game modes Also, I'm just realizing.. Does this mean no free-for-all!? 😲

6 RepliesIf people are complaining about leavers in 6v6, then it will be MUCH, MUCH worse in 4v4's. People getting stuck on the bad end of a 3v4 is definitely going to cause problems.

completely agree, many times I had my entire raid team finish the raid and think now what? and obviously without kicking anyone out we were able to go do some pvp, no one gets left behind and it was fun for me who plays things more casually, I'm all for having the hardcore pvp players get their 4v4 but for the rest of us this is not good, at least gives us options there is nothing wrong with that.

4 Replies3 things. 1. Why did you give the game a more animated look. It now looks like over watch. 2. The movement of the game seems dry. 3. Why can you see the other teams supers. Makes it more difficult to clutch games.

3 RepliesI personally agree with you but I believe the reason they made that change was to make the pvp more competitive. Games like CoD have had their competitive game modes at 4 players for a while now. I suppose it's the optimal number for team play and coordination. That being said I hope they add in 6v6 modes as well for the old school fans. I don't want the crucible serving 5% of the Destiny community who want highly competitive pvp.

specifically so the competitive scene kicks off. the whole of destiny 2 pvp has been made for an enticing pro experience. 4v4 seems logical

1 ReplyMaybe they think that 6v6 is to much hard work for a p2p system hopefully 4v4 improves hit dection and trigger dection etcand reduces lag I hope rewards are placement over rng and a staying in reward system.

13 RepliesI absolutely love the amount of people who think it's only 4v4. The quote, just so you all know it, is "The crucible is now 4v4. Across all game modes." No talk about other playlists. They just transition it next into Countdown, the new game mode. Good luck thinking the entire pvp experience... the only way you can play... is 4v4. For the record? Every Bungie game starting with Halo: CE for PC... has a free-for-all mode, an objective mode, a big team (5 or more) mode. Go ahead... prove me wrong. Not. One. Game. Has gone without.
