"Understand that this power is not like those you have wielded before. This is an all consuming one, a ravenous hunger that gnaws at the soul. The power it gifts is great, but only to those that can bear its calls. Understand that this is not your strength, but its gift to you, like a parent giving a child a toy. It will offer more gifts, whispering sweet nothings in your ear. It will come to you in doubt and despair, and offer more. More power, enough to conquer that which stands before you, only for a small price. A deal, a bargain so tantalizing and simple. And then it will ask again. And again. And again. Carving chips and slivers of your very being, until it holds your essence, your soul in its iron grasp. Falter, give to temptation and accept this offer, and you kneel to the Darkness' will, instead of it to you." - Freid Grimnar, Warlock and Slayer of Ir' Yut. I wrote this because I fell that if they add darkness subclass' they need to have a downside, like a curse from Dark Souls, where it has to be cleansed periodically, or your allegiances began to shift to darker purposes... Tell me what you guys think about Darkness subclass', I am interested in what others have to say.

It's possible the answer lies with the Reef Awoken, who claim to have transcended the unimaginative limitations of Light and Darkness - which implies that these powers could be more alike than we realise.

Darkness subclass. SIVA subclass. TAKEN subclass.
