Discuss all things Destiny.

I severely hope that the sandbox is more thought out in Destiny 2.

Hear me out on this, I love the gear of Destiny, but sometimes, I dunno, I just kinda wish that things were more spread out and varied in some way. I have seen many pieces of gears get straight up outclassed or become useless over the course of Destiny and I really wouldn't want to see the same happen here. On top of this, weapons, while there is a huge selection, have slowly become worse with each expansion. I remember in Vanilla Destiny how the weapons were, for the most part, already pretty beastly, but by getting the right rolls the weapons could indeed feel godly. Then we have raid armor which, for the most part, only helps with the current raid and isn't even needed except for looks, it would be nice if this played a bit more vital part in the game other than "Hey max light and a few benefits here or there". Next, we come to exotics, which, while some do have special perks, for the most part they don't feel better or different from other weapons. I actually liked the House of Wolves exotics and Talesto because they brought a new way to play with existing weapons types. There are also some exotics that have become outdated due new items being added (knuckle head radar is now worthless thanks to a certain artifact) or just didn't really have an exotic perk to begin with (4th Horseman) Finally, onto the foundry weapons. I felt that this was a unique chance to maybe bring a bit more diversity to the weapon pool, but....sadly...in the end all we got was re-skins of existing weapons with a slightly different type of perk trees. I will admit however, that I like how Hakke pulse rifles actually fire 4 bullets instead of the normal 3, but it would be nice if all the weapons from the foundries acted differently from one another. I really do hope that in Destiny 2 we see more unique and varied weapons that keep us coming back for more.

[/quote] I remember back in year 1, before The Dark Below, when max level were 30. The only way to get to 30 was by getting raid gear, and exotic armor pieces. It was the period where many people were "Forever 29", just because they could not get the right gear to drop from the raid (and especially if raid boots didn't drop, since there were no exotic boots back then.). The vog raid armor may have had a more vital part to the game back then, but I really don't want to see the same thing happening again, in Destiny 2.
