So who remembers Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor? I do and there is a specific game mechanic that it has that I think could work great on destiny. This mechanic is the nemesis system. To explain for the people who haven't played or seen (you really should, the game is great) the system is basically where there are unique, procedurally generated captains that are spread throughout the game world. You can interact with these captains by fighting or invading a random event they are a part of. But if you don't and time advances then they will go ahead and do those events. The system effectively creates a dynamic enemy system with an ever changing hierarchy that makes the world even more alive. I'm not the best at explaining so if you had trouble just look up the game on YouTube, plenty of examples.
So how can this be incorporated into destiny? Well I think that it would work well with enemy types and could integrate the enemies culture and all that's into it. In shadow of Mordor if an Orc grunt kills you he becomes a captain whom will become part of the system. Maybe if a drug kills you you will later encounter the drag but now as a vandal due to ranking up in status. Captains can become bar and then whatever after that and so on until becoming a kell. And like in SoM there can be random events and encounters with these enemies and captains or whatever. The only place I could see this not fitting is with the vex. They don't care much for rank, pride, or glory.
I think if bungie implemented this system it would make destiny that amazing game franchise we know it could be. The systems will create memorable enemies that give you satisfaction in striking them down. It would provide much needed variety to the game and also make the enemies much more personal and memorable. The nemesis system has only been used in SoM but I see potential for the system in destiny. I doubt this will actually happen in game but it's something that I think bungie should consider.
TLDR: why bungie should implement the nemesis system from shadow of Mordor into destiny

I know this post is old but I just wanna say: If this system was in Destiny, Randal the Vandal would become Randal the Kell in no time 😂 would be fun
