Hope y'all like this and please feel welcomed to leave feedback on my story! Warden opened his eyes slowly. With his mind still hazy from the sudden events, he rubbed the aching temple of his head; that’s when he noticed there were chains around his wrists. Warden stopped rubbing his head and brought his wrists close to his face, examining the chains wrapped around them. It seemed like only seconds before he broke free from the chains of darkness, now he’s bound in the chains of his reality. Warden looked around, trying to figure out where he was exactly. The entire room he was in was made out of a brownish shade of metal with the end of the chains bolted into the wall behind him, the chains were long enough for him to get up and walk over to the other side of the room. The opposite side of the room he was in had metal bars. It was clear to Warden now where he was, he was in a prison cell. “Why take me prisoner? Why not just kill me?” Warden thought to himself as he got up and started to stretch. It felt amazing as he finally put his muscles to use after so much lying down and sitting for so long. After Warden finished stretching he sighed with relief and looked through the metal bars in front of him. He heard faint fallen chatter coming from down the hall his cell was in the side of. He began to hear footsteps. Warden remained at the cell bars and stood patiently, awaiting to see his captures. It wasn’t long until two fallen approached his cell, one of them, a dreg, shouted loudly in their language and jumped back at the surprise of seeing Warden standing at the cell bars. The other one was a captain, standing tall and proud as it looked down at Warden like he was nothing more than a puny child. The dreg clicked curiously as it pointed at Warden and looked at the captain. Warden folded his arms behind his back and simply stared at the two fallen. It wasn’t a stare of hatred or of anger, it was more out of curiosity; he wanted to know why he was there instead of killed. He wanted an explanation. The captain caught his stare and let out a low growl as it stared into Warden’s white, seemingly soulless, eyes. As Warden’s arms were still crossed behind his back, he began to reach for something in his belt; a charcoal stick. After a while of staring, the captain and dreg walked down the hall, staring at the Warlock until out of eyesight. Once Warden could no longer hear their footsteps, he took out the charcoal and started writing on the wall behind him in the Eliksni language. “My ghost is picking up fallen transmissions from the house of Winter, there’s a ketch outside of this cave.” Banker shouted over to Dart, who was walking behind him along with Vanara. “It better be one linked to the Wolves, I’m getting tired of killing fallen.” Dart complained. He looked over at Vanara who was still unarmed. “Are you sure you don’t want a gun, or even a knife?” Dart asked as he took out one of his hunter knives and offered it to her. Vanara shook her head. “I don’t want to cause death, I don’t even like seeing you do it. Even if they act bad, they’re still alive.” Vanara answered as she looked away from the knife and looked ahead as they walked. “Besides,” she began. “I never was any good with a shock rifle, I’m better at tra… transmish... “ Vanara clicked annoyingly as she tried to remember how to pronounce the words. “Transmissions and mech… mechanics.” She finally said. Dart chuckled. “When this is over we’re going straight back to English lessons.” he said as they kept walking, finally seeing a glim light at the end of the dark and damp tunnel. Vanara clicked in joy at the sight of the light. “Dart, get your hand cannon ready,” Banker said. he pulled out his pulse rifle that was on his back as they neared the mouth of the cave. Once they reached the entrance, a House of Winter ketch could be seen at the bottom of the cliff they were on. Banker adjusted his eyes, trying to see the fallen house colors down below as they ran into a small bay in the ketch… a group of fallen stood out from the rest. “There!” Banker shouted as he pointed to the group of fallen with darker colors than the rest. “Wolves!” Banker shouted once again as he ran to the very peak of the cliff. “Banker…” Dart started. “I know what you’re about to do.” he stated as he walked up to Banker and placed a hand on his shoulder. “You can’t do it, we need at least one alive. Vanara can find out their connections.” Banker sighed as he slouched his shoulder. “Fine.” he muttered. “Vanara and I will go in, look for their communications room- wherever the hell that is- and get intel. Stay here and tell us through your ghost if anything.” Banker explained as he faced Dart. Dart nodded as he readied his sniper rifle which was on his back. “Come back alive.” Dart suggested as he walked over to Vanara and explained the plan they sort of had. Vanara nodded and went to Banker’s side. “We’ll try to do this with the least amount of killing as possible, we don’t want any unwanted attention.” Banker stated as he began to walk down a path headed to the bottom of the cliff. Vanara followed behind him. “Welp,” Dart grunted as he got down on all fours and crawled behind two rocks with a large gap between them. He pulled out his sniper rifle and placed the barrel between the gap as he got down on his core where his stomach would be if not for him being an exo. Dart looked through the scope as he looked at the fallen down below. “Okay, here’s the deal, you don’t hurt them, and I don’t shoot off your head. Deal? Deal.” Dart mumbled to himself as he put his finger on the trigger, ready to fire if needed. Dart wish he could smile as he saw Vanara and Banker slowly sneaking past the fallen via a small, low ledge that was just enough for the fallen above to not notice them if they didn’t make a sound. “There ya go!” Dart silently shouted in his mind as he saw Banker and Dart climb onto the loading pad and go into the ketch. “Okay Vanara,” Banker started as he peaked around a corner to see if there were any fallen, he sighed with relief when he saw there were none and stepped out into the big entrance inside of the ketch. “Simple intel extraction, we find the control room, find where they communicate, then have your ghost take any intel on the House of Wolves while I guard, got it?” Banker asked as he looked over at Vanara who was staring at her ghost in her upper hands. “Huh?” Vanara asked as she looked over at Banker. “Oh yes, I understand.” she nodded as the ghost disappeared from her hands. “Okay, let’s move,” Banker replied as he got ready to run. He stopped himself and looked around at the door in front of him and the two doors above him where stairs lead to. “Umm…” “I know the way to the transmission center.” Vanara stated as she pointed to the stairs. “Follow me.”
